Glitch fixed as above and other threads on HDUK etc.

Was supposed to be 20% off, but was glitched at 20%!

Not sure why the SELs were normal white ones in my store with the low price on - I'm guessing the SEL person for the gardening aisle though these prices were normal?

The Tomorite and Vitax are still reduced on the Tesco website. I haven't checked the rest - I have an order coming today at the reduced prices.

    Double Drat...
I was going to whizz down to Mr T first thing, so thanks for the update about the prices going back up. Saves me a wasted journey
I didn't read about it until the early hours, so it was probably too late by then anyway.
Roll on the next glitch.... maybe England will get lucky with an alcohol one next time:beer:

And….I had my Tesco order delivered and they have not honoured the prices quoted! All the gardening stuff is way more expensive. I’ll have to get in touch with Tesco. I can’t believe they would not honour the prices in the email acknowledgement – and if not, not to highlight it on the paperwork handed over at the time of delivery. Loads of stuff I ordered was out of stock so people have been stocking up by going to the shops.

Under Substitutions Tesco writes, “ if we have substituted a more expensive product than the one you ordered, we will only charge you for the price of the ordered item.”
    Really!?!

Sadly it is clearly stated on the website that the price you are charged is the price on the day of delivery which is not necessarily the price shown on the day of ordering.
Usually, if you've ordered something on offer to be delivered after the offer ends, you will get a screen advising you of this so you can change your delivery date if you wish. Glitch prices won't be honoured of course if they've sorted it. It will scan at normal price. It's like going into a store & expecting it to scan at the glitch price once it has been fixed.

As for the substitutions, yes, really.:)
The thing is though, the substitutions would be compared with the proper price of items ordered, not the glitch price.

Hurray since the prices of 2 items I checked were still reduced this morning on the website. I have pointed this out to Tesco and sent a screenshot so fingers crossed.
