Any ideas how to get out of Vodafone contract?

Hi there,
I am having the WORST trouble with my blackberry. I'm with vodafone, have been with them for literally years. For financial reasons, at the end of my last contract, I had to step down from the iPhones I loved so much to a blackberry curve 9300. Four months into my 24 month contract, I'm devastated. It freezes so badly on a daily basis that I have to take the battery out. It doesn't work the way I was promised it would. And now, it's started randomly scrolling through its menus all by itself. Not only is this REALLY creepy, it's got me concerned that there's something badly wrong with my phone. I phoned Vodafone about it, the woman stated that it was a software issue and that I had to take it to my local vodafone store to get this fixed. With respect, I feel my phone should not have such severe problems only 4 months in - and my nearest store is over 50 miles away! She said she would call back but she didn't - go figure. I hate this phone's unreliability so much, but I don't know what I can do to get out of this contract I'm in. Does any one have ANY ideas what I can do?
Thanks, Kerry.0 -
You can't get out of the contract.
You can have the phone repaired or replaced (at their discretion) by Vodafone or the manufacturer.
You don't have to take it to the store.
You can post it. Some manufacturers and providers may offer free collection. Before sending it take good photos of the phone, especially of the water damage indicators inside.0 -
Hi KerrySam,
You will be covered under warranty for the term of your contract with us.
If you don't want to take it into store to arrange a repair, I can arrange for a repair bag to be sent out to you in the post.
You can contact me via the address here with WRT135 FAO Heidi in the subject. If you could also include a link to your post and a contact number, I will get in touch.
Many thanks,
Heidi
