if you think about how much tesco make in profit i cant help feeling they do this deliberatly because if you think about its pr genuis - they get loads of publicity and people will prob buy extra stuff while they are in - i think of it like a loss leader:o just a thought!!!:rotfl:Survey Queen/Poundland Fanatic:rotfl:0

with the glitch yesterday we only went in and bought the items we wanted. didnt look round the store in case they changed the prices. im sure a lot of other people are the same, so i doubt it's a loss leader0 -
If it was a loss leader then all stores would have had these offers. As it was, there was no rhyme nor reason to which stores had messed up and which ones read internal memos. I'm not worried. Someone at my local had half the knife selection plus 2 lots of the crockery to put back last night. If they'd just left the prices as they were that would have saved someone returning them0

I was lucky enough to buy 2 pans this evening at the correct price of £19.20 but still had a white SEL for £4.80 so got DTD refund of £57.60.0

also why does it only happen at tesco???
i rarely see similar glitches at asda or sainsburies, occasional ones at morrisons
It does happen regularly at Asda but we tend to just remove the stock from the shelf and make the product off sale until we fix it. We also have the facility to alter stock prices at store level as a temporary fix if needed so the glitches are either noticed by the price change team, or fixed as soon as they are spotted going over a checkout.0 -
