Ryanair Website Change?

Unbelievable (and laughable).
Interesting that the we in the UK still have a government body with sufficient clout to cause the change, but that other governments e.g. Spain and Denmark who had similar disputes with Ryanair have yet to cause any improved "honesty" in their respective ryanair.es and ryanair.dk websites.
I can't help but think that O'Leary was trying to be too clever and has ended up cutting off his nose to spite his face with this botched UK only implementation - there is nothing obviously clever about this silly tarpaulin labelled "low fares available" that the IT fellows have thrown over the UK site work in progress this week.0 -
A third of Ryanairs business (28 million flights) is to/from the UK so yes you are right, we do, as a nation, have sufficient clout.
Those who want cheap flights, myself included, will reluctantly adapt to the new format , if it is the final version.
IMO most people are probably only searching a 2/3 week window at a time , so although its a bit annoying,it doesnt take that long to find a deal. The name of the game is "cheap no frills flights" and that, for most people is what we are getting.0 -
its stupid i checked it out earlier and gave in after a few minutes cos it was annoying as hellMake £11,000 in 2011 challenge - £120/£11,0000

I like it. Now its much easier to compare flight costs for a particular day with easyjet. Mind you easyjet does highlight the cheapest price in each month. Maybe Ryanair will follow suit to make it easier for those who just want a cheap flight and are not tied to a particular date.0

Why not just change the view as mentioned already in this thread? The flights and prices will be the same even if the website thinks you're somewhere else other than the UK.0 -

The "shouldn't be allowed " brigade will ruin low fares for everyone because they are either to stupid and/or lazy to add up and follow simple instructions regarding baggage, printing boarding cards and card fees.
Brilliant post and so very true ,follow the simple rules and get a cheap fligh if not thanks for subsidizing it for me as i can be bothered following the very simple rules .
An for ML great consumer champion you are but I feel it would be terrible if ryanair could not charge the booking fee without the prepaid loophole as everyone would just have to pay more ,and imho those that cannot be bothered and many cannot ,should not be helped out at the cost to those who can .0 -

I think the point of being a consumer champion is that you campaign for fairness, openness and clarify for everyone, not argue for loopholes that a few can use.0 -
We may joke and winge about the implementation, but I think Ryanair are in breach of the CAA order.
All but one of the multiple domains and subdomains they use are still presenting understated prices for flights from UK airports in the offending style. It is of no consequence who in the main logs in to each of the 'national' domains.
I wonder whether the CAA have tackled Ryanair further about it.0 -
When you look at return flights, the outward leg is easy enough to check by clicking the next day, however the return leg involves scrolling down, clicking next day (when the screen then jumps back to the top) and you have to scroll down again. So, it is really hard to compare prices in a comfortable way. Ryanair never like to make things clear, do they?!0
