Slapp on hand ! I promise I ' ll be good and never use wrong coupons again...see I thought that Tescos accepts all coupons.

Hey you've got away with it, or maybe it's a new 'perk' that they haven't published ? Anyone wanna ask at CS if they take other supermarket specific moc's as well as CS's

Well I also thought tesco accepted all coupons (???) :o. Under this impression I have handed over, for e.g, co-op coupons at tesco and they have been readily accepted and have scanned okay. So was this a glitch or is tesco such a big company that they can take these coupons without fear of being recompensed by coupon provider??

Or are we talking here about coupons which state they must only be used in a certain supermarket?

I have to say that I was mistaken here too, although I haven't actually used other store's coupons yet.
Another thing I cant get my head around- conditional spends. Are folks gettting these from other sources apart from till splits? If not, I don't really understand why there is such a fascination with using them in tescos. Have I missed out on something?

I think its because.. if you use them in tesco. you get points... but also your able do pricecheck... and get some money back..

so not only do you save on your shopping by using a conditional spend... but you get extra back maybe from pricecheck

which if you used the conditional spend in say sainsburys... you would pay more ( as its more expensive ) and you wouldn't get your clubcard points ( which are better than nectar ) and you wouldn't be able to do a price check..

well thats how i see it :rotfl:

For those that weren't on this thread a couple of years ago I used to do the first page updates. The exact same question came up "to chat or not to chat" some people didn't want to read pages and pages of jokes and chit chat.
After weeks of polls, arguing, some people flouncing off, huffs, BG warnings, friendships lost and blood spilt it was decided the main thread would have mocs, moc chat, links to other money saving, moneysaving/shopping chat.
The drivel thread was to be used on occasions when say a few people were on late at night and instead of filling 3/4 pages with jokes/pub news/fit men chat they would move over to the drivel thread to save hardcore moneysavers from reading drivel in the morning (that's why it was in the Arms, as it was not money saving related what so ever) also congratulations, condolences, commiserations, Happy Birthdays were also to be posted in Drivel.

    Hope that helps PC x

Errr Not quite sure if I am answering the question you are asking but afaik....

Co-op Save £2 wys £10 = OK to use at T (They do this so you shop with them not Co-op)
£2 off any Ariel Stain remover at T = OK to use at T (T can get the money back)
£2 off any Ariel Stain Remover at S = Not OK to use at T (T can't get the money back? - Are they bothered seems to be the question.....)

I thought we were voting on one of the top 2 options and one of the next 2 options so voted twice so I would have expected the summed votes of the top 2 to be equal to the summed total of the next 2. Really with what IS said if you wanted the top option you had to vote for Monetight so I voted on Moneytight because IS had said she was finding it too timeconsuming to manage the thread with all the chatter. I think some people have later thought it was a
vote on who they felt was their friend.
I won't be posting or reading the drivel thread. There has been a lot of extra chatter recently but how do we expect the newbies to catch up with us if they aren't allowed to ask. We all want to be friends and you do tend to chatter a lot more when your'e trying to make new friends. From what I could see the newbies have found coupons so we should be thanking them not making it more difficult by having another thread for us all to make friends in. Inevitably stuff will be posted on the other thread that won't get duplicated on this one and some of us will miss out on. The chatter has settled down before why don't we just leave everything as before and let it settle again.

When a coupon asks for a name, I usually enter "Personalised" and "Coupon" or "Money Off" and "Coupon" as the forename and surname.

That way, it prints those words in the box (like some of the beforeishop coupons do automatically) and then there is no issue with mixed names, or names not matching payment cards etc.

afternoon all, yes i do that aswell, usually i am personnel coupon, saves a lot of messing and explaining.:D
