i think some either don't realise or forget you are also behind the scenes doing alot of work. so THANKS

hopefully this won't decend into 2 threads of argueing and fully understand why you'd need to close 1 if it did.

unfortunelty i think although the joint thread is great with all the unrelated coupon(not the friendly hello/goodbye and well being posts) posting some have found it hard to get through the thread.
if we could set rules that cuts that down then of course it would work alot better. but as always not everyone bothers to check the 1st post before posting so even that wouldn't 100% work

hopefully this doesn't give you a headache and things settle down

I'm sole BG on here (more or less) referrals and pensions , I work full time so only get a limited amount of time to keep an eye on things across several areas of the forum

it's time consuming for me if I have to move posts between threads as I have to read EVERY post

If I were IS and I had had enough I would be jumping on MT offer.

If Ive upset anyone its not intentional but I can't really see what the results of the poll will bring as it seems already, despite the percentages, to have been disregarded with the drivel thread opening.

I would withdraw my vote and abstain if I could. It all seems a bit like a blunt pencil - pointless.

I agree, If IS had wanted to carry on with 2 seperate threads - she really should have said so in the beginning, rather than saying she wanted to step down - then when someone volunteered; changing her mind and saying she'd carry on if the threads were different. Just my 2p's worth - not meaning to upset anyone.

I don't really have time to keep checking out lots of threads - the only one I spend any time on is here and I just scan through posts that I don't feel the need to read. I voted for a combined thread and can see that there are twice as many votes for a combined thread, rather than a split.

I may miss something good/important on the other thread, but will just have to take that chance.

Well, m.a.g is gonna lurk a-while and see how it all settles down. It will take some adjusting to flit between threads, and split posts if necessary. Ive tried continuing to post joyful drivel this morning but it seems to have fallen on largely deaf ears, although MT did seem to appreciate the mental vision of Jason Statham, naked all but a few mocs strategically placed.

What will be will be. Not gonna stress. Life too short to stuff mushrooms and all that...

Good = more time to womble
bad = losing touch.

Think the poll should be taken down now though, its a bit of a chocolate teapot. C u all soon.

don't wish to get involved in an argument but it has to be said
there are no coupons in others thread
posts are for competitions which don't belong in here (although cushelle was already posted here anyway)
if your refering to dominos this is not a printable coupon but a code

please don't post to start arguments to get other thread closed

will add would love to stay neutral as poss.
my preference was for the thread to stay together but alot less non related coupon stuff and IS
but i don't think it will happen so i'm going to try and make the best of things

they do say
you can't please everyone all of the time
only some of the people all of the time

so not 100% are every going to be totally happy

It would appear there was an attempt to have people vote for two threads (one coupon - one drivel) but as the vote didn't quite go as planned the results were just ignored. I'm a long time lurker and shall continue lurking ON THIS THREAD. People voted for what they wanted and what they wanted was NOT for a small group of regulars to hijack the thread. These people may well have been posting for some time without interuption from others but for every poster there are ten lurkers and, at the end of the day, we all count. Just take a look at the final voting numbers again and you will see how true that is.

I shall also continue lurking ON THIS THREAD ONLY. But does that mean i will miss the other Bargains (which may get posted on the new thread) which people sometimes post here which point us to the other threads? Yes- it was lemmings and you are right, it isnt coupon related. my mistake. However, I liked the fact that we had non coupon moneysaving ideas on this thread. Now we can't. Perhaps that is strictly correct to not allow these type of posts but I can't help thinking its a shame.

glad my post didn't upset too much
in away the odd think was ok but lately there has been alot of tesco/asda price stuff/shopping lists/comps and such like which do bogged the thread down alot and i know some people don't have alot of time to check threads but alot of things getting posted here did/do have dedicated threads of there own.

don't think there will be an easy answer to this though.
will have to learn to be a ping pong ball for a while :rotfl:
