Coupon and chat mixed thread
Hi all - Birdseye have just posted this on facebook;
'The gremlins have got into our voucher system! We're working on a fix for it and will get it up and running as soon as we possibly can. thanks for your patience.'
I am still trying to catch up - new thread too! Bit miffed as was still too sick to go shopping on Tuesday (ended up on chemo unit for 4 hours!). All that planning to no avail. Fingers crossed I will be able to go tomorrow as its alredy meant a few vouchers have expired.
I'm sure a post asked if anyone would share their excel spreadsheet. I am sorry but as it was on the old thread I could not post a reply (dont yet know how/if you cross thread quote). If you still want one, more than happy to share my efforts!:TI've saved £518.70 with mocs and CS since 15 May (yes, I am keeping count!):T

Idlesaver in chargeI wish all the newbies had joined this thread in 2009 like I did.
I was really lucky, I found out about mse in April 2009 and joined and somehow or other was on the coupon thread the first day.
In those days you could use loads of coupons, even if you hadn't bought the product at Tesco. You could only use one of each coupon though (unless you actually bought the product) per shop.
Thats the first time I heard a shop assistant called an "old trout", they were out in abundance then too and they hated it when we went to the till with 50 coupons totalling maybe £50 and getting most, if not all, of our shopping for free.
During that 5-6 months I got over £3000 of shopping completely free, but I followed the coupon policy correctly.
It was really good fun, but not without occasional problems from difficult SA's who didn't know the Tesco coupon policy.
Then we got Black Friday, in the October, no warning, the coupon policy that we knew and loved ended.
So now we make the most of coupons how and when we can.
But I wish we could bring back " the good old days"
So well done to all the newbies, your stash will soon build up, until you need more shed space, more cupboard space, you will be storing things in every room, the loft, garage, anywhere even relatives houses.
But you will save a fortune doing it, and hopefully have some fun and make lots of new friends too.
Take care everyone.

Wendy, I hope you feel better soon, but don't worry that you had to throw a few coupons away, we all have to throw some away occasionally.
There will always be more coupons coming out, and the lovely people on this thread will find them for us.
So, take care and get plenty of rest and you will be back couponning before you know it.:):):)

Idlesaver in chargePre Black Friday.....in the words of Mary Hopkin
Those were the days my friend
We thought they'd never end
We'd sing and dance forever and a day
We'd live the life we choose
We'd fight and never lose
For we were young and sure to have our way.
La la la la...
Those were the days, oh yes those were the days
They def were the blooming days....free shopping every time we ventured into T's..........I'd print off a handful of mocs and call in on our way fishing and get a newspaper/Angling Times and Anglers Mail, bags of sweets, bottles of pop, sarnies and crisps...hand over the pdf mocs for Domestos other things a few Pik a Pak mocs( remember the free cereal we had for a year peeps? We'd get the cereal and get mocs on the packs for more than it cost after using mocs to get it free in the first place, iyswim) ...never ever used any cash.....oh yes those were the days....most of us saved several thousand pounds in those days!!0 -
Idlesaver in chargeWendy hope your treatment is going well, don't worry about loosing some coupons your health comes first.
I have also lost quite a few coupons due to being on Morphine plus 22 other lots of meds and my brain feels like its turned into *****.
I still like to keep an eye on the vouchers, though sometimes I can't actually get to use them,
It's a bit like playing BINGO (I think)- waiting for a Voucher and "listening to my Coupon Friends" - even better if I can make it to the shops.
For Tesco 1p addicts, got some more of the Schwarts Mexican Fajitas spice mix a few days ago, they seem to be back on the shelves.Dated 12.11.2012.0 -
