Iv not seen the programm yet but will. Iv worked in the care industry and you do get some horrible people but they are few. The problem is that thease people bully other staff and managment is usually poor.

I have a brother who one day may be in care and would not be able to communicate if abuse happened so I am concerned. Its really hard to spot abuse in your relative until its too late. How far do you go to monitor the care given . Putting cctv in the rooms would be an invasion of privacy but then again would at least spot any abuse.

Its a poorly trained and paid proffession . The goverment needs to overhaul the whole industry.

Think of the care a family could provide for £3,500 a week!

Im pretty sure most people would actually struggle no matter how much money was thrown at them to care for them. Its not easy living and dealing with people who have learning difficulties - this is why they have places like this for the people - so they can get the proper care* they need and also families get some time to themselves to help them shake of the stress of having to deal with their childs problems - which they do need.

*I thought id add on here before someone jumped on me, that yes, these people were not giving the best care at all and was the worst that someone could ever do. But not all care homes are like this.

Sorry for the inconvenience, the programme was just ending as I posted and I was truly shocked by what I saw.

I saw a little on the news and that was enough to make me feel sick. I understand a nurse went through the company's 'whistleblowing' procedure in October but it was ignored? How awful. I hope more heads roll than just the 4 abusers. Higher up in that company and also in the Care Standards Regulator.

But I have worked for a charity that runs care homes, and I know several carers now, and I know nothing like that happened there. Most people working in care are very dedicated.

The Care Quality Commission want to take a look at themselves as three e- mails were sent to them also, they say that the arranged visits had no evidence of any problems. As for the staff at this home everyone of them that were recorded laying so much as a finger on these vulnerable people should be charged with assault not just four of them and all the staff that stood by and did nothing should lose their jobs and never work in the care industry again, because I am damn sure many more staff than the thirteen suspended knew what was going on.. Lets hope the justice system provides these evil bullies a long sentence behind bars, but I dont hold out much hope for that with the British legal system as it is.

I could just not believe what I was seeing.

What on earth is the point of investigating allegations with 'arranged visits' obviously the staff will be on their best behaviour. Do the people running these organisations that are responsible for safeguarding the people in these homes not have any intelligence?

Heads should roll. I am so angry about both the abusers and those that failed to investigate as they should have done.

I watched this programme yesterday and was disgusted that people could be so evil to helpless vunerable folk. I do hope that bullying ba$tard Wayne gets his. I would cheerfully hang the toerag up by his bits given the chance .What a revolting excuse for a human being he was along with the other disgusting people who were in the film. The girl was a piece of work as well. How could anyone be so cruel to folk who no fault of their own cannot care for themselves and are handicapped by an accident of birth. What does it say about us as human beings that abuse such as this goes on in the 21st century.
