    Hi Tom,

Sorry to hear about the car. I'm so glad I can walk or get the bus to work, I could never afford to drive. Maybe once I'm debt free

Good luck with the loans, let us know how it turns out. I've never had to do that but almost come close to it a few times.

I'll update on Thursday for this month, but I haven't been very disciplined and I think the eBay money will be lined up for the cats' boosters which are due next month. Can't go without or the cattery won't take 'em in August. Plus the fact I'd feel so guilty. At least I'm doing something to get the cash together though. In past years it has been known to go on the credit card...

 out of my five carefully chosen items I made £1.04! Only the lipstick went

Any advance on this, farmerswife? Hobsch?

    No, do please join in!!!

Well, nothing spectacular this month, just been ticking by to be honest. My girlfriend of a year finished with me, and its been hard to resist binge eating and slashing out/retail therapy... Luckily I've got good friends who have been keeping me sane and stopping me from being naughty! :)

I'm now down to £18085.93, so fairly pleased this month. :) I really thought the debt was going to go up due to the car repairs and the like, so its a mini achievent seeing it go down again, even if it is only £40 odd quid.

Hi Welcome bagyra I think we could do with some motivation. With regard to my Ebay sales I made £10.99 plus postage but as I had underestimated my postage that ate into my profits. Still looking positively at it I made some money and decluttered a bit. (to make things worse I missed the 10p listing day and didn't list them until the weekend - mental note I must be more organised!!)

I must also total up my debts for the month and see if I managed to reduce them at all - I think I'm avoiding them as I don't think I have.

What challenge are you setting us now Nevada Girl?

    Hi Farmerswife and welcome Bagyra.

I am having a bad week! I have to take the little terrors to the vets for their boosters this week (or the cattery won't take them in August, but mainly because I don't want them catching anything nasty while they're out and about), and the factors bill came in - this covers maintenance for the shared areas of the building, if you're a non-flat dweller. I do account for it in my budget but I always resent having to shell out for it when it does arrive.

I've neglected AQA because of my eBaying and that's hardly been worth it, so I'm definitely feeling de-motivated. On the plus side, my flat is getting more and more clutter free, which is lovely. :D And you can only do one thing at a time, right?

My fiance took me to see Spiderman 3 last night, it was rubbish and a complete waste of time and money, so don't anyone else fall into that trap. I can usually watch any old drivel but that was testing me to my limits. I've never walked out of a film halfway through, but if I'd been on my own, I would've. He didn't enjoy it either, so it's not just me :rotfl:

I can't think of anything in the way of a challenge that doesn't rip off another one that's happening elsewhere on the DFW board. I'll get my thinking cap on, but in the meantime, any ideas from anyone else? Even if it goes a bit pear-shaped like the last one, it makes life a bit more interesting!

Good luck with the rest of May everyone!

Ooh, before I forget, something that did motivate me when I was having a clearout over the weekend was seeing my LOB cc statement from this time last year, down by more than two grand since then. And I haven't spent any money on it this year either.
