Hi guys - I haven't been round for ages as I haven't used anything up for a while. I'm near the end of a random face moisturiser that wasn't very good as a face moisturiser so it has been demoted to the feet, where it seems to be doing very well on my old tootsies! :)

Ooh, I've just realised: Picklemum has a serious declutter and threw away loads of thing from the bathroom, including 2 bottles of Estee Lauder Double Wear Foundation.

One was completely dead, the other has a little in it and was upside down for a reason, mum. (:p) Alas, though, it has gone to the great recycling pile in the sky.

One of the bottles was mine, and the other might have started life as a possession of my mother's, but I think things got confused, so it ended up being used by me. So I'm adding it to the UU pile as it makes me feel better. :p :T

UU/throw out today, my Virgin Vie, foot and leg gel. I've not really liked this as it doesn't seem to have moisturised that much and it's really sticky. It's been at the spluttering stage for a few weeks but it's now in the recycling bin in heaven! yay
  • Sorry I haven't been on here for ages (again) - once again, I am feeling guilty for my Body Shop purchases. I've taken a photo if anyone wants to see the extent of my shame...

Bev97 - those flights are insane prices  hope you manage to get something cheaper!

Charlie792 - so sorry about the job, it's frustrating isn't it, especially when you were so close! I was at a conference on Monday and met someone I used to know when I was living in Cambridge as she worked in my profession. As we were chatting I realised she got the job I lost out on earlier this year - even more galling as losing out on that one meant I took my current one which is, shall I say, rather boring and uninspiring. (Actually, I know loads of people who got jobs I went for and was rejected for - makes you feel rubbish!) Hope something turns up soon, and good news about your nan!

Minerva_windsong - I've had my current foundation (L'Oreal True Match) for around two years and it still seems fine. I was using my previous one, a Maybelline one, for around five years! I reckon it's fine so long as it doesn't change colour, texture or smell!

Sawan82 - I have that Cowshed body lotion too and I found the same about it taking ages to sink in - I was tempted to chuck it out but decided to persevere and just use lots of it at a time :rotfl: It's nearly finished now!

Rosemary54 - so glad about your son, but what a shame it had to come to that. Glad the idiot who complained hasn't got off scot-free. Good luck for his interview!

MarzipanFish - glad you managed to get some money knocked off your rent! Quite rightly too IMO.

Sarah*a - hope Little Dog feels better soon!

Breakfast Scrub might not taste good but the Lush Lip Scrubs really do - in fairness they are mostly sugar!

All those who were talking about chai tea - I want to go out and buy some now! I quite like the Twinings one, but I would like to try Palanquin.

My mam texted me to say that my Burt's Bees set from the In Style offer had arrived at home. She and my dad have threatened to sell some of my toiletries. They don't even know about my latest Body Shop haul!

I'm on such a high at the moment - went to see Bon Jovi in Hyde Park last night and they were absolutely amazing. I also now have a massively inappropriate crush on Jon Bon Jovi (he's old enough to be my father!!!)

Great post Absinthe.. and think of all the younger men who fancy Helen Mirren, what's wrong with fancying Jon Bon Jovi? I fancy a certain male TV presenter who is the same age as my daughter. :p I never got to see them either, but my son was the replacement bassist for a North East based Bon Jovi tribute band gig some time ago (Bon Jordi!!!).
Which reminds me, a guy I know used to play in a banjo duo and they called themselves Banjovi.... :D

I feel a lot better about buying my £6 Body Butter that reminds me of chai now, having seen your lovely BS stash. That's got to be a few years worth.

Back to the chai - I read the labels to see why Palanquin tasted so much better and it has cloves, black pepper, cardamom, cinnamon and ginger whereas Twinings is just cinnamon and ginger.

All that rambling and I forgot to post my UU..! A 125ml Simple Replenishing Rich Moisturiser that had been hanging around for ages.. way past the UBD. This was a real LHJ.

WIBA? Well, yes , maybe. I bought it because it was very reasonably priced for a moisturiser with a SPF. However, that SPF isn't specified. It's an old bottle so perhaps they do that now.
On to the Garnier samples for the wrinkle trial!

Fellow Bon Jovi fans!! He's very good-looking. Quite a bit older than me but hey :p (just checked - 20 years older than me :p)

I went to see him last year with a friend from uni. Her bf couldn't go because of work and we were fellow fans in halls. So I got an awesome seat in the O2 with VIP lounge access for free!! It was amazing :) Weirdly enough came onto my laptop to transfer the album to my new phone :D

Absinthe I'm persevering!! I've now decanted it into a BS BB pot so I can see how much[STRIKE] longer I have to suffer[/STRIKE] is left. I'm also being generous with it ;) That is an AWESOME BS haul!! Love the pic so thanks for posting it :) [STRIKE]I'm always nosy to compare with my stash[/STRIKE] I always find them interesting ;)

I haven't posted on here for at least a month, mainly because of moving.

Last weekend I was away in Brighton and went into Boots since there is so much more choice compare to where I live. I ended up buying a 125 ml jar of Biotherm's aqua source facial moisturiser for £25.05 this is a bargain when the 50 ml one is £28. I love this moisturiser and this should last for at least 6 months.

On Friday I went for a skin consultation with Decleor. If you bring your voucher along from Woman & Home you get a free 15 ml facial moisturiser, a 5 ml night moisturiser, 3 serums and a 50 ml body moisturiser for just having a consultation. I was really good and bought nothing. Is anyone using Decleor? If so, what do you think of their new cleanser Aroma Cleanse? This product looks really good but when I asked for a sample of it they said that they didn't have any so I said that I am not buying a product for £25 without trying it first and felt like a really good MSE person.

In June I also bought 2 samples of Glamour in order to get the benetint and the posietint. I have never tried them before and was really disappointed with them so I have now given them away. My skin seemed to drink it but show no colour from it.

Good luck to those of you who are job hunting, moving etc.

Enjoy the rest of your Sunday.
