No buying toiletries in June challenge!

Hi everyone, may I join in your June challenge with you all please? I haven't been in here before although I have seen it mentioned several times on Boots threads lol
I have read through the resume and think I understand what it's all about now. Should I start by taking stock of all my toiletries? Quite shockingly I have ALOT, enough soap and glory to last a lifetime, and I am a bit of a lipgloss junkie.
Hope I can get into the swing of things, would be grateful for any advice and tips xxComping wishlist for 2017

Afternoon all
Welcome to all newbies :hello:
I have uu a Gok bubblebath - can't remember exact name, but it was lovely, adore the smell of Gok stuff so I'm quite glad it's not available all year round or my stash would seriuosly swell
I have a quick question for the nail polish experts in our merry group - I have fallen in love with the Cha nel Morning Rose varnish but just cannot justify paying £16+ for it. Can any of you lovely ladies recommend a cheaper dupe?0 -
Valm - I am planning to try one of the Avon masks tonight and will let you know tomorrow how I get on.
SJP - hope your little girl is on the mend today.
Our camping was fab, lovely site, lovely wardens, gorgeous weather and loads to do in the area. Have been to this site quite a lot in the last couple of years and they made lots of improvements over the winter and are doing the toilets and showers this winter (they are currently dated but clean) so next year should be perfect.
Me and DH are about to get our bikes out and give them a quick service ready for starting cycling again tomorrow. We are both a lot less fit than we normally are so might not be able to move by tomorrow night:eek:.The devil makes works for idle hands0 -
Hi Fiasco, I think we're planning to spend a long weekend in Lancaster/Lake District instead.
Forgot to mention I did have another couple of INs. Got a couple of Champneys samples with my Boots order : Skin Comforting Bath Milk and Mediterranean Bliss Body Hydrator.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

:T:beer::jWelcome to the gang Savvybunny! :j:beer::T
Taking stock and finding out exactly what you have is a great idea. When I did it I discovered that I wouldn't need to buy shampoo or shower gel for literally years!
I'm having one of those days which sound really self indulgent and pampering but is actually quite a lot of work. I'm doing waxing, a mini facial, face masks, hair masks, cutting all my nails off then buffing, filing and oiling them, doing my roots, giving myself a pedicure, a body scrub and all the other pre holiday prep I need to do so that I'll be in optimum condition when we actually go in a month's time!:D
I have a UU:
UU 15ml REN Glycolactic mask WIBA? This is a staple for me and I'm getting low on these minis now. (Only one left I think ) so I'll definitely be repurchasing if nobody buys me one for my birthday next week. To be honest, in an ideal world, probably most of my skincare and bodycare products would be REN.
Their ban on petrochemicals, sulphates, parabens, synthetic fragrance, synthetic colour, TEA, DEA, Glycols, Silicones and PEGs is pretty close to ideal for me ingredient wise.
Hope you're all having a fab day! :heartpuls :heartpuls :heartpulsNot everything that can be counted counts, and not everything that counts can be counted. Einstein0 -
I haven't had a chance to have a good look around at what shows are on. I used to travel down to London frequently and have seen a lot of long running shows. I will be looking at the £10 tickets through Last Minute (+ quidco) as I have had some great seats for fab shows previously from there.
We are also taking the train down for the first time as we normally fly. But the last three times I have flown from Heathrow it has been a nightmare for various reasons. On the plus side the train was cheaper by £50 per person as BMI has stopped flights from Glasgow so the alternative was BA.
SJP - I hope the DD is feeling better today. It must have been quite frightening.
Sawan82 - Wishing you a speedy recovery and a lovely holiday. When are you going?
Going in a month, 10th July. I am looking forward to it. I've been to Dubai a few times, but really noticed the increased prices over that time  I'm really lucky I have to say as my sister pays for me as I don't earn a lot working in the family business. I pay for food, etc when away which is more affordable for me
Thinking of that I have an OUT. The Organic Surge handcream I posted about yesterday (tried once by me) she loves and wants, so will give it to her. I can't believe how much she liked it (her hands are sooo dry), she even offered to pay for it!! (£5 or a hug - she can have it foc) WIBA? Yes. It is very nice
Not sure I have any handcreams left in stash now
Feeling nauseous & headachey still. In bed posting from phone. Trying to get some energy. Poor mum's worried as I don't know what came over me and is still there! Thanks for asking *hugs*Savvybunny2009 wrote: »Hi everyone, may I join in your June challenge with you al please? Welcome to the thread! Everybody is super-lovely and helpful. We all sometimes fall off the bandwagon and onto the naughty step (some more than others she said holding her hand up). I'm trying to not buy makeup as much as not buy toiletries. We all have one or two items in particular we have crazy amounts of. Mine are nail polishes (I class these as makeup), shower gels and body lotions/butters.
Putting the challenge in the sig helps, especially when I see more INs the UUs
And I have to say my unnecessary spend since starting the challenge does still exist, but is significantly lessNo buying unnecessary toiletries/makeup in May: Unnecessary spend £17.60
May INs: 14 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 11
2012 INs: 77 UUs/OUTs/GAs: 91
Savings from UUs: £60.50

Thanks for the welcome and the tips
Hubby is out this evening so I think I will have to start sorting through my stash(es) if I can remember where they are all hidden eeeep!
Sounds like a lovely pamper evening ahead Jacks, but this pampering can be a military operation sometimes can't it
Just before I start what is included, is it anything beauty related including hair products, makeup and skincare lotions and potions?Comping wishlist for 2017

I have a quick question for the nail polish experts in our merry group - I have fallen in love with the Chanel Morning Rose varnish but just cannot justify paying £16+ for it. Can any of you lovely ladies recommend a cheaper dupe?
*raises hand sheepishly* Nail polish junkie here.
I am weaning myself off the Chanel addiction (and selling my stash on eBay), but I was sorely tempted by this shade (not so much the raved about Mimosa).
I am finding the Rimmel nail polishes completely amazing (partic. the Lycra Pro) - have you looked at the Rimmel 60 seconds in Rose Libertine as a close-ish match? No sparkles though.
I find with any Chanel nail colour, its best to keep an eye on Boots no.7 and Barry M, as a dead ringer will be along within a month or so.0 -
Hi all
Thank you all for your lovely comments about Immy, she brighter today, but still not eating, so we just trying to get milk down her as much as we can. If she no better in the morning we'll take her to the GP to check her out.
Savvy - Welcome to the thread.... I've a tip!!! Just dont buy anything beautywise:D cos we'll send you to the naughty step.... I'm always there :rotfl::rotfl: We list the things that we 'bulk' buy, but we dont usually count in cotton wool, ear buds, razors, lady items (although you can if you like
) looking forward to seeing your stash list shortly.
Sawan - Dubai, sounds lovely, sounds like you have a lovely sis too
I think i might treat myself to a pamper this afternoon, not been spending much time on me lately, certainly not had many UU's.. Might even push the boat out and paint my nails too....
Just going to put my Nail Inc's polishes on ebay - i've had enough of the streaking, but keeping Jermyn Street....
Hope you're all having a lovely Sunday!!Challenges - repay all credit cards by end of 2015Starting the savings for retirement :rotfl:

Hi sunshineday, I don't own any Chanel lacquers but I do have an addiction for OPI - prefer to pay £10.50 rather than £16.00! I own a colour called Wing It which is pink with glitter in it like Morning Rose but is not such a hot pink as MR - is more of a fuchsia colour. OPI also have a colour called Flower to Flower which is more of a barbie pink with glitter. Both of these were part of the Summer collection last year.Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge.
