    Best of luck Charlie!

Ouch! at your daughter's fall Kaz. I'm a real baby when that kind of thing happens to me. :o

I've stumbled upon a Uu tip that I thought somebody else might be able to use.

I find myself avoiding some night creams and neck creams and eye creams because I find them sticky or gloopy on my skin and I can't sleep in them.

I suddenly remembered Mally Roncal on QVC saying we should use her under make up primer at night as well to seal in our night treatments.

At the time I thought "Yeah, yeah. use twice as much = buy it twice as often - I get it!"

    But.... ;):o

I have primers I don't rate either because I don't think they do enough to justify the extra step and there's one that makes me look pinkyish so I tried primer over my stickiest night cream. I had to use quite a lot but it worked!
    :j :j :j

Hope you're all having a lovely day! :heartpuls:heartpuls:heartpuls

Welcome mazy_m :hello:sounds likie you've had your toiletries lightbulb moment  :D

Kaz - ouch! Hope your DD is OK :(
Does anyone know whether the same products turn up regularly in B&M or is it a case of grab it while you can?

Like flutterbyuk25 said they can be hit and miss - I think they are the same group behind Home Bargains and I know they have certain products constantly and others once in a blue moon :( They had loads of Charles Worthington stuff at £1.99 about 6 months ago but I haven't seen it since.
The Magic Freebies newsletter seemed to think that this was sent out to lady members of the Supersavvyme Proctor and Gamble website.

    *cry* I didn't get any :( :rotfl:

    A few UU's and IN's today:

    UU's:
S&G Clean Mary 75ml: WIBA? This is my HG - I have 2 x 180ml bottles but may mooch eBay as I have some cash in my paypal account - and I am allowed to stock up on this as it's been discontinued :(
Carmex Cherry Lip Balm: WIBA? Probably - I got a bit bored of it over the past week or so but I love the slight stingyness of it :D
Boots Vit E Toner: WIBA? Already have :p

    IN's:
Laverea Basis Organic Shea Butter & Jojaba Lipbalm: Came with a whole bunch of samples from Naturisimo.com
15 x various samples - mainly serums which I have put in one pot ;) Made about 10mls worth which should keep me going for a week and a bit once my Aldi serum has run out :D

Got my hospital appointment for the Pain Management Team - not until August 11th  Boo :(

oooo sooo pretty!! i want to go buy more now. sorry not sure about discount as i have an extra one.not that i should encurage you to buy but i think the card is totally worth it they have discounts on tons of stuff-ive more than got my money back on amazon alone never mind the amount i have saved on gym membership, oasis, new look etc xx

finished a bottle of curious but relaised i still have 2 more in stash!!

That's OK. If I'd realised they did a discount on amazon I'd have bought one but now I've only got a week til I've finished uni so tis a bit late now :D
Bizarrely I did get an email a few months ago telling me to pick my extra card up from the union desk but I didn't order one so I assumed it was a mistake.

Kaz, I winced reading about your DD falling on the escalator.. ouch!

I'm feeling a little bit pink after a couple of hours in the sun this afternoon. Not really fair because I put plenty of factor 20 on :( Just a sort of glow rather than being sore thankfully.

My favourite moisturiser atm is simple's one. Accidental discovery as I got given it for xmas but I really like it. Doesn't have spf though. They do 1 that does but only spf10
  • Right, I'm in for this month - first time! Must be strong.

    Out so far, Used Up:

Kiehl's Midnight Recovery concentrate - WIBA? No, as I only saw any effect if I used a much larger quantity than they recommended in the instructions, and even then it was only clearing up spotty/blotchy bits - would be beter off with Rosehip Oil, I suspect. Great bottle, which I am keeping to decant my other serum into (Dr Organic Rose Otto, 1/3 of the price of the Kiehl's).

Boots Botanics Organic Body Oil - WIBA? Yes, smells aces, nice as a night time body treatment and a bottle lasts ages, got in a 3 for 2 deal.

    In:

Waitrose Baby square cotton Pads (really big, really soft, don't shed fibres and much cheaper than any of the cotton wool pads in Boots/Superdrug)

    99p Nivea Deo (Violet Senses).

Got my hair done today and I am really pleased with it. My hairdresser also told me she is leaving the salon which did cause a momentary freak out from me as it has taken me ages to find someone I really like. But she quickly offered to continue doing my hair at a greatly reduced cost :money: either at my home or hers. Just as well as when I went to pay this afternoon I found out that the salon has put the prices up again. This is the second time this year already . I only go every 10 weeks but I could not afford to continue going there.

I have been reorganising my make up stash whilst on the sofa tonight and I have binned my Clinique Be Mine eyeshadow duo. It was a freebie from 8+ years ago and the colours never suited me. I have no idea why I didn't do this sooner

Anyway that is another £1 in my pot.

Also can't remember if I have already posted this but my L'oreal hairspray is almost gone. Another day or two at most.

2 sachets of lavender face mask
2 sachets of japenese sake and rice face mask

Hi vivh, will you please post about these masks. I was looking at these sachets in the current brocure but would rather hear how they perform first as some masks make my skin red.

Fingers crossed on the job hunt Valm.

All of this holiday talk has motivated me and I have booked up for a week's break to London (travelodge) for my birthday next month. Looking forward to seeing some shows.

Thanks. I have an application that I'm going to work on tomorrow.

Your London break sounds fab. MrM works away a lot and has qualified for a free night in a Premier Inn. We will be taking a short break ourselves using this in August but can't decide where to go. London will be too expensive for us though.

Have had another UU since posting this morning: Beauty Formulas facial scrub - this is the one that I bought for £1.00 from Savers. WBA although I'm not going to for a while. Still have some S&G Scrub Your Nose in it however don't want to use an exfoliator for a while as I want to judge how my skin is with the new cleanser I have and then shortly the Botanics toner will be added into the mix.

Was not very impressed with the Botanics face mask earlier as it was too watery. My fault as I hadn't read the instructions to shake very well before use. Will have to give it another go.
Back for the No Buying Toiletries challenge. I pledge to only buy when I run out of a product that is not already in my stash no matter what wonderful emails land in in my Inbox or threads I read on MSE re: glitches!

Read the posts properly earlier, and goodness, your poor daughter Kaz! (And poor you..) Chiefly because of what might have happened as well as what did, it must have been very frightening. My ex nurse Mum had a few escalator fall horror stories.
I can remember being accidentally shoved from behind at Gateshead Metro and grazing my shin on the escalator due to my rubbish balance, then dripping blood the rest of a very long journey home... Those steps are sharp.

Whoo... Just read through 8 pages.. its only the 4th:eek::eek:

Sawan - I bought an Orly polish a few years ago, after having it put on when i had a manicure and its one of the nicest to apply that i've tried....

Charlie - Lovely pic... Glad you enjoyed your holibobs, not the doctors visit though....

Kaz - (((hugs)))) to DD, hope she's feeling better soon...

Welcome to all our new friends :rotfl::rotfl:

My stash has grown, thanks to the recent BS glitches, but i'm not going to buy anything at all in June!!!! I'm really going to try harder.... :T I'm also going to gift some of the freebies I got from the glitch.

I've been given a couple of those Avon facemasks to try too, looking forward to using them.

I also had my Naturisimo samples delivered, but they're free, I bought cotton wool balls so nothing to declare :p:p

How did all our campers get on?? We went to Robin Hood Caravan Park at Slingsby, wasn't anything special and the toilets were a good walk away (not good at night) so we wont be going again.

I've really got to start looking after myself again, now i'm back at work i'm not putting the body lotion/butters on and not looking after my nails, going to start from tomorrow....

Immy Lou has been ill today, we had to call the NHS direct - they were really lovely and put our minds at rest, we were panicking with her being so young, but they called us back within minutes and had a proper chat. Hopefully its just a 24 hour bug and she will be better tomorrow, was awful in the night, OH heard her choking, she had been sick - so tempted to start putting her on her side now....

    Sorry about the essay :D
