            Fair enough, I should probably have said that the market is patchy - where I am, some houses are selling quickly, some very slowly, but it is difficult to see a pattern behind it.
 If the other house has had 3 offers already, why is it still on the market?
 Because the "owners", not quite sure if they are owners, are wanting to see ASAP, so they are waiting for the offers to sell their houses first. Once someone has no chain (is that the right word?) they will take it off. The person who lived there died, so the family (I think the family!) are just wanting to rid of it.
 Suppose that's a little different from the normal housing approach!

 But yes I suppose it's difficult to work out why some houses sell quickly and others not. I'm not buying for another 9-12 months anyway, just trying to work out what the perfect property is for me!0

 As I said above, it's difficult to find something affordable and nice looking in Wycombe. It's either a small flat, a terraced old house, something in not a very nice area, or these box houses 
 I know the area very well too. Nice looking it aint and these ones are in a not very nice area. I wouldn't risk my hard earned cash on any of them tbh.Mortgage free as of 10/02/2015. Every brick and blade of grass belongs to meeeee. :j0

 Micklefield isn't THAT bad, Totteridge is worse. No chance anywhere else that's nearish the station. Downley is a no-no. Cressex I could handle, Booker too far away. Easy of Wycombe generally is the only place to go, Loudwater and Wooburn too far away.0

            Is the flat roof such a terrible thing? It doesn't look like the place is more than say 8 metres square, that's a maximum of 64 square metres of roof. At £30 a square metre that's just under £2000 every 10 years or so. Hardly a king's ransom. It is a pig ugly house, though.0

 The inside can change easily, outside a little more difficult.0
