    Xmas Saver!
    Now finished sorting out xmas prezzies, 2 people to buy for, but there cider based gifts from when next go to Devon, just got some small breakfadt trays to do. Then mum, dad and DD, plzed thats all sorted, not looking ofrward to the wrapping!

    Fruit is soaking very nicely in alcohol. so be christmas cake making tomorrow.

    Jusy checked 1st batch of flavoured vodka, got pommegrate, its potent, I bit into one piece of the fruit, it was so powerful.... only had fruit soaking for 4 days, so have transferred the fruit to another small bottle see if I can get some more out.

    Also done all my flavoured coffees, look posh when finished, have coffee mocha, swiss coffee mocha, cafe vienna, and cafe au lait. xx

  • Can anyone point me in the direction of somewhere that sells little pots like ramekin dishes that you can put measured ingredients into like they do on tele spices etc hubby is doing his best bless him !! lol he quite fancies himself as a curry guru, but has asked me to get some so i thought id do a cooking hamper for him, a tagine ramekins salt pig etc its better than golf huh x

    Poundland has either packs of 3 white ramekins or packs of stainless steel little dip bowls which might work well for curry.
  • I have finished all my xmas shopping for my son, hubby, mum, dad, mum in law, 3 nieces, 6 nephews and a few friends. Did most of it i the summer holidays when sales were 75% off ;-)

    Last night I made some salt dough decorations for the tree as we are goig for a home made xmas. All I have left to do now is start the food shoppig. Going to start with mince pies, xmas puds, biscuits etc
  • Some of those posh ready-made deserts for two come complete with a little ramekin dish so if you could find them on special offer ...

    If you're talking about the post at the top of the page then you actually need cherry tomatoes....
    I have a recipe for "Merry Cherries" which is a "!!!!!!!isation" of a vodka mary but with cherry tomatoes with vodka injected in them then chilled! X Fab!

    People are sooooooooo taken with them they think that you are an amazing host but have spent minimal money as a nibble!
