My son ordered an Apple iPhone 4 (16GB) from Mofonez last week and paid £350 by credit card. The phone arrived 3 days later and was a fake iPhone. Now doing battle with Mofonez with support from Visa for a refund. Thought the deal may be too good to be true. Buyers beware!!0

Hi, I paid for an iPhone 4 by PayPal, then got an email within 24hours saying that Mofonez.com no longer accepted PayPal. Emailed them for a refund which got ignored. Tried their instant messaging service and was advised that it was in the hands of PayPal, so put the transaction into dispute with PayPal. Eventually 2 weeks later got a refund from PayPal as Mofonez didn't respond to my dispute. They do not appear to be a reputable company ................... the old adage "if it looks too good to be true, it probably is" seems to apply to them. AVOID AT ALL COSTS0

I've ordered an Iphone on 4/6/11, £350.00. Mofonez wanted a direct bank transfer. Lady sounded very sincere. Said they were still setting up their card payment system. I fell for it, had a hunch not all quite right. Phoned them today, but answer phone on all the time. Got e-mail from Alicia Moore at their "sales department". Said the stock will arrive tomorrow and they will then ship it. I think I've been conned. Stay away!0

Direct transfer is a clear sign of con because you can't ask your bank to charge them back if things go wrong and don't have any protection.
I'll be happy to be proven wrong on this occasion.0 -
Like many of you i fell for this too but i had ordered two phones and transferred the money into their account. I have done alot of research into the company and it would appear the address that you make compalints to dont even know of the company mofonez or adam dawson or alicia dawson (moore) whatever she wants to call herself. Avoid at all costs!!!!!!
I still aint received any packages from the company and they keep fobbing me off saying give it till tomorrow then we will check with royal mail. the best of it is they never even sent the items recorded delivery!!!!
Gutted about the whole situation!:mad:0 -
I have a feeling that your only chance is small claims court (online) while the company is still around. And even if you win I don't know how to enforce the ccj and to get the money back.0

This is the info I have: I've checked out Companies House's website, the company was registered on 23/05/2011. The excuse they've given me was that they had a dodgy supplier providing them with the fake phone (see previous post by Jezzer). They've apparently reimbursed that person and the matter is now sorted. Since then, they've changed supplier and promised me my phone is on it's way! Looks like they've done a lot of damage since 23/05. Considering going to police. Any ideas guys and girls? No luck on the phone number, just the answer machine.0

Don't waste your time on going to police. They don't care.0
