Right. I've posted a link to a photo my the emitter, headphones and cables that came with it all.You can see that there is the seperate little cable which can connect to the main cables and then the jack into a headphone socket. I just tried connecting it all and putting it into my iPod and it works.

Yes there is a Multi Out A/V connector on the back of the PS3. I don't think I ever used the AV cable because I wanted to use a HDMI cable as it brings a better quality.

JUst checked my PS3 box and yes I do have that AV Cable. So you think I need a couple of female-female adaptors to make the emitte work.Do you think that it will bypass the sound from my TV and into my headphones?

Yes, it will bypass the TV sound, and should get the emitter working.

Let us know how you get on. If you have a local Maplin, B&Q or similar, you may get the adaptors there. Hopefully so, with B&Q open till 8 ....

    Yes!!!! Googler,a big thanks.

I just popped down to B&Q and bought a phono coupler.I connected the Av Multi Cable to my PS3 then put the coupler onto the red & White cables. Then onto the other end of the coupler I put the cables from the emitter.Turned my PS3 on unfortunately the sound was coming from both my headphones and the tv speakers. But I turned the tv on mute and the headphones still worked!!!

Thanks to everyone for the help.
