Hi all, I've been a lurker for AGES! So I've decided to bite the bullet and give it a go. It's just me and a toddler and I could do with getting our spend down a bit! I'm going to aim for £150 thats my £30 a week delivery order and £30 for 'top-up' shopping.
If I do well I KNOW I can cut down if I just get shopping delivered once a fortnight, but I'll cross that bridge if Junes challenge goes well!Making money for christmas 2012:santa2:0 -

Hi all, so here we are in June already?
Thanks for the new thread. I'm going to try slightly increasing my target this month and see if I can manage that, so could I please be put down for £75 for June?
I have already spent about £41 on my big monthly shop, so hopefully there is enough left in the budget to get all my bits and pieces. I really want to come in as much under as possible, as next month I am going on holiday (to a festival, so NOT exactly cheap!) and I just got the credit card bill through to pay it off too!0 -
Hello, my name is Tracey and it's been TWO YEARS since my last post!!
:o:o
Can I come back please? (Where's the smilie with the shuffling feet?) Been a RUBBISH 18 months or so for us, but getting better now and I'm feeling the need to get a handle on our shopping at least. Would like to set my budget at £120 for June please with my month starting on 28th? Lost our 2 furry children last month within a fortnight of each other (both were EXTREMELY ancient ... and both with tumours) - so budget is just for me and DD now.
DD away for the week so going to use the time to meal plan and try and get organised. Spent £24.23 so far @ Mr M's yesterday and certainly shouldn't need anything else until after the bottomless pit returns! Made bendy veg soup today so that was tea and will be lunch tomorrow too - with maybe some for the freezer.
Good luck to all :wave:Grocery challenge: Jun£134.15/£120; Jul £60.90/£1200 -
Hello all, this is my first time attempting the Grocery Challenge so I'm hoping it makes sense, I'm looking forward to learning from the pros!
I am hopeless at buying things we don't need or won't use and we always seem to end up with loads of wasted food and money each month!
I'm going to guesstimate my budget for June based on what I am roughly spending already and then for July onwards work to cut it down lots. For the past 3 months, since my OH and I moved in together I have been spending the ridiculous sum of around £80 a week - building up my storecupboard has been my very poor excuse, but I do now have huge amounts of tins of chopped toms and baked beans!
Can I be added to the list with £350 for June please!
Wish me luck!"Born to shop, forced to work!"0 -
