    :wave:Hello

Am back on the GC after a few months away - thought I had food spending under control only to add up the last 2 months reciepts and find on avg am spending in excess of £220 per week  we are a family of 4 (me DH and 2 DS + dog) so that is obviously unacceptable -would love to say we are eating lobster and drinking champers everynight - the overspend is mostly down to waste and bad meal planning:mad:

so here goes for £400 for June - wish me luck!

Hi, I'd like to join this month please!
I managed last month on £250 and have budgeted £220 for this month, this includes ciggies for OH but no takeaways.
Pay day was yesterday and have already spent 118.89 arghh! This does include the household/cleaning stock up and the ciggies, and my freezer is full to the brim!
Decided to try other supermarkets last month and this month, decided M's is pretty good, specially just before they close, N3tt0 is nothing special, @ldi is awesome, specially the fruit and veg, and ic3l@nd is full of crap!
I have a separate prepaid debit card for the food budget, so hopefully it will be easy to keep track :)

    Hello everyone!

Here to post a budget of £275 for June please :D Hopefully I'll be able to reduce this loads soon as all the produce in the garden gets going.... :j

Thanks to all the Ladies that run the challenge, it's absolutely fantastic and I LOVE the recipe index at the beginning of the thread, it's great for inspiration in times of brain freeze :rotfl:

Good luck to everyone again this month :D :T

Morning all, thanks to MrsM, Rosieben and Pink for the new thread.

Can you put me down for £100 for June please for 2 adults.

I know some people include all cleaning products and pet food etc but I only include food (which I think this is a lot ). I would like to reduce the amount we spend on food as we have an allotment so there is no need to spend loads in supermarkets. From now on I am going to make a concerted effort :)

I had a slight overspend last month but I should do better this month as we are both back at work, just got to get back into a routine !

Hope everyone enjoys the rest of the bank holiday weekend :D

HUGE thanks to Pink, Rosieben and Mrs M for keeping the thread running , its greatly appreciated

went over last month , so i really want to keep tabs this month, we have MIL for the 1st week so an extra mouth to feed , but the problem is more 2 teenagers with voracious appetites and a penchant for takeaways

hoping not to go shopping until thurs , we have plenty of everything in , but according to the DD's ' there is nothing to eat '

might make a lasagne for tea

Can you put me down for £350 for June, my month has already started and 5 Fridays at £70 a week for us 2 adults and 2 children, 1 very fussy but working on him.

Always seem to be running out of stuff and then going to supermarket and buying crap, choc and crisps etc also trying to lose a few lbs so will do an online shop and only buy proper food!

Morning all and thanks Pink for starting this thread, Ive been eagerly waiting to start again. :o
Can you put me down for £220 please.
I think that should be very easily do-able. I have a chest freezer full of goodies. My only pitfall is that Im 6 months pregnant and so so tired all the time. So I need to plan a bit more and make the most of the mornings. (When Im a lot less tired)
    Happy days
