Thanks everyone for all the advice re Lush. I think I'll pop in there and ask for some advice.

I'll just have to brave the smell :) But am hopeful that it has died down abit. It normally gives me headaches if I go in and sometimes just from walking past:(

I need to get the beauty routine going, but think I'll wait till after the school hols to even try and get into the shopping centre. Far to many teenagers hanging around or younger children being dragged around by their parents. :)

How amazing is the Love Lettuce mask- it is my favourite pamper product ever :D:D They probably told you this, but just in case they didn't, it needs to be kept in the fridge. Each pot should do 5 or 6 applications, and you should only use it once or twice a week (as tempting as it is to use it every day, it would be overkill sadly!) You need to use it before the bbe date, and if you are going away and may not finish it in time then I would suggest popping it in the freezer. I do this with all my masks, just take them out 30 mins before I want to use them, and then put them back in the freezer when I'm done. :)

Which moisturiser did you go for? I hope you get on well with it all, but it's reassuring to know they will happily refund or exchange anything that doesn't work on your skin. Oh and keep the empty black pots when you're done, as if you save up 5 of them then you can trade them in for a free face mask :D

It's in the fridge already :) I have sent head office and email saying how lovely and helpful the staff were. Many people only get in touch to complain so I thought it would be nice to compliment them. I went for the vanishing cream. I'll save all my pots too. I'm sure ill use it before the bbd but if not I'll bare in mind the freezer lol!
  • Hello ladies! Are any of you keeping up with your regimes??!!

I get married on Saturday and have just had a french manicure on my fingers and toes. I've also had eyelash extensions and have got some MAC make up. Feeling very pampered and lovely! I'm drinking lots of water as my skin is a bit dry, and washing face with a fancy new clarins face wash that is meant for younger skin. Currently no spots...

Oh - not very pampering or relaxing, but I've also had my underarms waxed. The hair was very short (3 days growth as opposed to 3 weeks!) - so it's not 100% smooth but will make shaving less frequent for the honeymoon!

I cleanse every evening and use coconut body butter on my face from the bodyshop so has pure ingredients in it.my nails are fine these will be manicured anyway for the day.my teeth are pearly as i dont drink rubbish, one cup of coffee a day then on the odd occassion a tea in the evening.i eat well.im sick of getting spots though.i have tried all sorts, think i may try the vitamins next.sometimes u can be to clean which can cause spots etc.i cant use soap on my face as i suffer from dry skin thats why i use cocoa butter or the coconut butter.i wash my hair with my head upside down anyway.i have till next august to look perfect lol i also dont wear make up unless on a night out which at the moment is rare.i dont smoke and only have the odd drink of a weekend
  • Sammy - I think I might make manicures regular and become alergic to rubber gloves!!

Hollie - I'd never think to use a body cream on my face - I'd be worried about it clogging my pores and giving me spots. Is that just me being silly then?? Wish I could manage to only drink one cup of coffee a day!! My teeth have always been slightly off white - but OH tells me I'm imagining it. I got one of the whitening gels, but never got into a routine with it...
I didn't say before, but I have been taking skin hair and nails vitamins (superdrug's own) and they seem to be making a difference too. Have you tried going to the counters in Boots - I bet there are some good face washes for dry skin out there if you're willing to pay a bit more. I'm sure you'll look fab on your day! :)

Hi,thank you:),my mum actually uses cocoa butter on her face and started me on it,i found my skin wasnt so dry.i tried the vasleine intensive stuff even the sensitive one it didnt work and made my face sting.Im naturally dark skinned  so any scars really show on my face so im so desperate to stop the spots and try and fade a few of these scars, the ones round my mouth mainly,no one else notices them but i know there, there.i plan on asking boots for a make over to see about make up as i want a flawless foundation to cover any scars on my big day.
ive tried the expensive face washes to they didnt work, like i said i think sometimes u can over do it and your face can be to clean which can cause problems
my friend got me a voucher for a beauty salon so i plan on trying one of there french facials if this works then maybe i shall have one a few days before the wedding
Good luck for saturday im sure you will look amazing
    :)

So this is where all the lushies are hiding? Hehe I've used their skin care on and off for about 12 years but it just doesn't seem to work with my skin. Luckily, I've found Avene and well, I couldn't be happier! Just going to keep up with the regular regime and hope my skin doesn't decide to revolt between now and 2013!

  • Lush is amazing! Every shop I have been to has really friendly staff, the last time I went the staff were using the hair and face masks and offering customers free trials and a cuppa, looked like a sleepover than a shop.

When I buy something to they always throw in mini freebies and short / just out of date stock
