and WHAT was in that cake IGOR? I thought there was a hint of Midori in there.
Now THAT would explain why I actually enjoyed it
Midori was one of my three favourite tipples when I used to drink, and was responsible for the only time I got ever-so-slightly-more-than-a-little-bit tipsy on a works night out (to the point one of my colleagues wouldn't get into her hubby's car to go home until she'd seen me get into a taxi and heard me give the driver the correct home address as his destination)
Given they'd never seen me drink more than half a dry cider on a night out before, there were several of them quite concerned to see me spend the whole night (straight from 4:15pm end of work until pub close, but with a meal included) alternating straight lemonades with Midori and LemonadesCheryl0 -
Pernod was my downfall - nearly a whole bottle at one sitting when I was 18 - on top of a Chinese Sweet and Sour Pork with Rice - needless to say I have not touched Pernod since.
My head is amazingly clear this morning but there is still a lump of Igor's cake left - can't face it though, I think it's not so much the chocolate fudge buttercream or the hundreds and thousands, more the candle wax and chicken feathers that are putting me off it....
Today I will have a mini spendy day - odds and ends to go with the pasta and cheese sauce DS is making at school. I have fresh raspberries and home made yoghourt in the fridge for dessert tonight, then I must do some meal planning for the week. Only 8 days till payday so will be doing commando raids on the freezer to keep us fuelled.
Have a good day everyone! (What date exactly is the Solstice this year? Must organise a rave up for that!)One life - your life - live it!0 -

Hi guys! I'd like to join here if I may, I know it's a little late in June (nearly over!) but I am aiming for 6 NSDs out of the 11 days we have left in June.
Thanks
