Hi I know it is late in the month and only 12 more days till pay day but could I join please - Suddenly realised I've spent £20 on nothing today so may help me keep more of a track of where my very tight budget is going!

I'm not going to count DD's/dinner money/train fares (the normal monthly expenses).

Or do you think it's best to wait until next month?

    MM xx

Hi Muddlemess1 it's never too late to join, so welcome to the madhouse, sorry challenge!! :rotfl:
BDINI - your posts are making me feel exhausted. 13.5 hour working days, dragging compost back in a suitcase, you must be sooo fit:D

Trust me Spoon, the 13.5 hour days definitely won't be a regular thing!! & as for fit, i'm really not sure about that, walking to & from the shops is the only exercise i get & that's not that much now i'm collecting NSD's!!

I've managed to get to no 9 now, very pleased with that and even more pleased that I've managed to resist the internet shopping itch:D:D

    'night everyone

Well done for resisting t'interweb & getting up to 9!! :j

Number 5 for me today, was lucky enough to get just enough sunshine to wash & dry the sofa covers (although i did hang them out at 6am just to be on the safe side), but have to admit to spending most of the afternoon on the sofa watching films & avoiding the rain...oh yes & resting my crushed toe, after i pulled the washer out to fix a leak & managed to get my foot stuck under it

  • No NSD's to report today, Those pesky wonderful Iphone Apps have led me off the straight and narrow and now I have to be good to make sure I can update the swearword things. Aggh a really important App Onuva that helps you cut down data use.

  • Plenty of food, fresh fruit and veg and storecupboard goodies so should be ok. I might cancel Riverford this week but if I do give myself the option of Fruit and veg via Waitrose plus I get a free walk of an hours duration.
In future I must limit my sins to cash, take trolley, take list plus be dead honest and above all get to Scotland through fair means or foul for a holiday.

Red - now why would you want to turn down an offer on a case of wine?:D

    Hi Solvent,

You are absolutely right, my weakness for Red wine at a good price wins again:o

    I hope you are well.

    Red:)

And why not, Red, if it was a good price it would be rude not to buy it, surely?:D

I'm fine thanks - well apart from the awful weather:(. Hope you are too?

    Morning everyone.

In to report number 4 today-unfortunately this week has been a bit spendy :(. I must confess I have worshipped at the temple of Chanel and bought a new nailvarnish for the first time in about 2 years. Feeling incredibly guilty, but I'm trying to get back to spending, but not losing control, to try and adapt to my debt free self come september. 4 more pay days to go.
That sounds like a good tactic to me, TF, gradually wean yourself back on to shopping, but in a controlled way. As long as you can afford the nail varnish, there's no need to feel guilty. We all deserve a treat occasionally, hope you enjoy wearing it.

PS: What colour is it? I love Chanel nail varnish but haven't bought any for years

    NSD no 8 today :j

Thanks again for all your kind wishesre future job ideas...been having a bit of a think, but not been brave enough to start writing things down yet. Might make a start later on!
Good luck Keiss. I would just jot things/ideas down as they come to you rather than sitting down with a blank sheet of paper.. that's a sure way to get writer's block.
