  • Hiya, I know I'm 10 days late to the party but I'd like to join! I really have a habitual spending problem - even if it's only £1.50 on a cuppa, I just keep spending money every day! So I'm determined to have a go. I'd like to aim for 5. It's not very many, but I'm going to Glastonbury festival at the end of the month so I'll be spending money every day I'm there, plus I need to get a few bits & pieces for it.
I've already spent today and I'm going to a party tomorrow.....so Sunday will be my first NSD!

:hello:Hi twentyninetimes and welcome to the NSD challenge (sometimes known as the MSE asylum:D:D).

It's never too late to join our merry band, pull up a chair and make yourself at home.

SF will be along later to welcome you officially and add you to the front page.

  • A Spend Day today as I got an Audiobook Version of Tea somebody's 'The Tigers Wife', had friend over she took out my rubbish meaning I owe her £3 as promised to help her financially. (She has OCD but seems to be doing incredibly well carving out neural pathways of her own rather than let a few chemicals do it, she is on meds we aim to reduce eliminate as she is already suffering health effects due tothem). Got to help her with diet. She loves my food and I know I am a swearword good cook.
Probably get NSD's on Sat Sun meaning a proposed Grand Total of 5.

Hello all, it's going to be a spend day for me as I have friends over for dinner so buying wine will prob be involved.

We're also doing our bathroom up this summer (I had a shower using water from the sink this morning and a Tupperware container – glamorous!!)

Now even tho I'm spending, I'm doing it cheaply because me and the girls had originally said we'd go out and instead they are coming to mine and staying over – hope they dont want a shower in the morning!

And the tiles were over £30 a box, they have gone down to £7 AND I'm using a Homebase 20% off voucher!

So maybe not a 'No Spend Day' but a 'Less than it would normally cost Day'!

    Hiya

would like to add NSD 3 and NSD 4 for weds and thursday this week, and today failed miserabley as DD1 asked for a £1 to take to a charity thing at school before I had even gotten out of bed!!! Only good thing thats my only spend todays :D

Don't think I'll have any NSD over the weekend as out with a friend who is over from the states so alittle wine will be included lol!;)

    Have good weekend everyone

Ohhh Batgirl21..... have you not read the fine print in our rules....there is absolutely no use of the F word (*failed*) allowed on this thread or Spoony will be lobbing those manky kippers at you :p Sometimes life just gets in the way and our spending doesn't go as planned, but every NSD is an achievment so be proud of your tally :T One of the main aims of this challenge is to make us think more about our spending, and if you're doing that then that's you half way there to clocking up those NSD

Ohh...sorry...totally forgot why I actually logged on

    a) it's Friday *wiggle wiggle* ow ow ow, that's really too much for my sore achy muscles from a very good but very hard working pole class last night.

    b) I have clocked up NSD #6 today - so that's 60% of June I haven't let the moths out of my purse which I think is a start of the month record for me :j

Thing is that i have about £10 to last me two weeks until pay day (excluding a small allowance for food and petrol) once I subtract my planned hair cut - and £5 of that will prob be another eyebrow tidy, so really I have no money as such to spend....which is a great incentive to not spenind any :D After a few months of car tax, MOT, holiday etc I really need to get some funds back in the bank.
