  • Another non NSD day - my car needs it's MOT (it's passed but need to spend a bit on it ) and so does DH car.......then I need to tax them which I couldn't do until they were MOT'd :o

And I suppose, as I have already spent a fortune today it doesn't really matter if I treat my two boys to some sweeties and get a few bits from the local shop, really, does it?!?!

    Morning all

No NSD for me yesterday as I got a dress for my SIL wedding in August. I got it on Ebay though, so feeling quite good. Before LBM would have just gone and spent a lot of money on a dress without thinking about it. Hoping that today will be a NSD, unless something unforeseen crops up.

I would like to add a cake to the party food. My favourite at the moment is Nigella chocolate cake, how does that sound to everyone? :D

    Have a great day.

Any news from DH's landlord yet? x

Hi there, this is my first post.

Is it possible for me to still join this?

If so can I put down for 10 NSD's? Nice easy target to start with:rotfl:

    :hello:Hi dmlambert
Welcome to MSE and the NSD challenge, what a brilliant place for your first post!:D

you are all mental. 'specially you Spoon *mwah*! Love the fact you manage to say hello to EVERYONE. You're hardcore!

I have spent again today but also clawed some money back... most of my NSD are going to be towards the end of the month as that's often out of having to rather than choice!!

well I have only my CC and o2 final ever payment of 3.76 coming out this week and then it's all mine... all £250 of it... actually that's the most I've ever had to spend in a month since being a student and living at home!! It's going to be lovely - plus staggered so I can't blow it all at once yay!
Life is too short not to love what you do.

Thanks for making me feel welcome. I spent 54p on a bag of crisps yesterday so no NSD for me.

Today will be as I'm fully prepared with lots of food from home for lunch plus snacks so no excuse to go to the shops!

I want to report an NSD tomorrow!

Hurray! NSD 1. And we're off!! I felt a bit 'spendy' today so I went for a walk instead. Hope I end up with a fat purse and thin thighs!

Right, declaring today as NSD no 1 for June :j

Need to collect DS2 from college soon, then off to work 4-8 tonight, so determined to spend nothing today. :D Already been into the last of my redundancy workshops...quite good fun most of the time! So no time or energy to spend moeny today

Managed to sell 4 more plants today, with another 2 going tonight, so money actually coming in...even if it is only a little bit (more to spend at the coffee morning/open garden this weekend ;))
    .

Been thinking about this spendy weekend coming up...have decided to try and not spend Friday and Monday to make up for probable spends over my normally NSD weekend...does that make sense??

Looks like DS2 wants collecting a bit earlier...see you later everyone!!

I didnt manage a no spend day yesterday.

Didnt manage one today either, I left me lunch at home for work :(, so ended up 'having' to go to the local bakers for a baguette.:T
I will hopefully get my first one tomorrow as I have chores to do around the house and wont get the chance to spend. :rotfl:

Thanks SS I think doing volunteering is a great way of not spending money, as we can't go shopping/buy stuff online etc and it makes us organised. E.g. this week in a few weeks time OH will be out the house on Sunday for 12 hours and I'll be at home (with internet shopping a no no!) then each evening we have a ready meal at work and then I drop him at the theatre, go to a friends house, home or stay at the theatre quietly or on performance nights sometimes I'm stewarding. And the following Saturday he's out all day too. So as long as we buy enough food and petrol the Friday/Saturday before I won't spend much all weekend, probably just my Friday lunch treat (which I buy if I bring lunch from home in on every other day).

If we manage to move and don't have to fill up on petrol each week we'll be even better!
