Weekly shop day, so not a great start. Think I need to visit the farm shop for meat tomorrow. Need to get going with the NSD though.0

:hello:
Hi all NSDers xxxx
Well done everyone getting their NSDs under their belts today:T:T, a great start to the month :j
I have managed to get my number 1 too :jI am quite pleased with myself actually as I had my early shift then my part time shift tonight and kept picking up money to take out and putting it down again and picking it up thinking 'a small spend in shop on way home won't hurt' :rotfl:but was good and didn't take my purse out :j
I think next two days will be spendy as I'm off work except for part time shift tomorrow night and am meeting a friend for coffee on Friday so I may pace my shopping over the two days instead of rushing and doing it all on Friday but then again I may just have a lazy day tomorrow and not go out until the evening shift in which case I won't spend tomorrow...............will see how I feel when I get up I think
I did pay something off my 100 day challenge but I don't count that as it's debt busting, maybe as I get better at these NSDs I will.
rdchick- I feel like you a lot, My main salary is bills and any overtime goes off debts and my second job is my 'live off' money, it is about 100 a month and is serving me well so far
Keiss- I am glad you found the answer to the sweetcorn question
See you all tomorrow

Happy First of June everyone!
A spendy day today, had to do a food shop as didn't do one yesterday, silly twit that I was!
Oh well, I will have to knuckle down and try catching loads of NSDs this month. This weekend will be tricky as helping out at a coffee morning on Saturday and an open garden event on Sunday...will perhaps put aside some money now and not allow myself to go over that...good be a good plan!
I did manage to make some money today though...sold 10 pepper and tomato plants, so quite pleased...perhaps that could go into the spending pot for the weekend.
Have a great day tomorrow, it should be an NSD for me, fingers crossed (and purse firmly shut!).

Not a good start DD1 has gone off to a theme park with friends and a sleepover and had to give her money for the ticket (she is sharing a coupon with another girls so it could be worse) plus she needs to get her lunch etc. Had to post ebay stuff too although that doesn't really count as I should get that back.

Hi lovely gang:A
First update of the month and you’ve got me back again. I bet you thought you’d lost me and my kippers for a month.:D
Newbies joining up today are:
:hello:mrso2b - of course you may join, you’re very welcome. All signed up for 21 now, good luck. Don’t forget to ask if you’re unsure of anything and feel free to join in with the chat and general madness here
:hello:debnmatilda - hi and welcome to MSE and the NSD challenge, of course you may join us, you’re very welcome. Regular trips to the shops (corner or supermarket) are the reason a lot of us are here, so you’re definitely in the right place. All signed up for 8 now, good luck, and there’s no pressure to try for NSDs in a row, not many of us do that it’s just there for anyone who wants to try.
Returnees to the fold (some people objected to “oldies” last month, can’t think why). Good luck everyone:
:wave:katenut - good to have you back, all signed up for 18 now
:wave:Diana Prince - good to have you back. Well done for being brave, all signed up for 6 now
:wave:Yorkielass - good to have you back, all signed up for 15 now. Glad you’re pleased with your May total, you did really well. The week at the theatre sounds good.
:wave:mandz1 - good to have you back. I like the determination, of course you can do it. All signed up for 10 now.
:wave:chrisico - good to have you back. Well done for being brave, all signed up for 12 now
:wave:rising from the ashes - welcome back, glad you love the challenge, it does become somewhat addictive. All signed up for 15 now.
:wave:miss_t - if smaller targets work best for you then go for them, no need to increase unless you want to, so don’t feel any pressure to do so. All signed up 10 for now, good luck
:wave:Susi_Wa - have you thought about putting lunch and bus fare money aside on one or two days a week? Lots of people do that and it might help you organise your spends. All signed up for 8 now, good luck
:wave:jojitsui - it’s never too late to join in here, no apologies needed. All signed up for 10 now, good luck you can do it!
:wave:hannah:-) - yep, I think this month is going to be a busy one! Welcome back, hope you enjoyed your hols? All signed up for 10 now and well done for no 1 today, yay!!The time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

:j:jSparkerly - well done to OH, that shows some dedication to the NSD challenge, I’m impressed!!!
:j:jstrawberriesandcream - well done for avoiding all those lovely shops at lunchtime, that takes some doing. Of course you can keep it up, if you’re feeling tempted pop in and say “hi”, we’ll soon talk you out of spending. Keep going now!
:j:jcastri09 - great start for you and good luck with saving some money this month, that’s one of my aims too
:j:jdonna dynamo - good start for you as well, hope the spends on the garden aren’t too serious
:j:jIf - thanks for posting the reminder, you’re a star and no 1 in the bag as well, yay!!!

:j:jPaP - great start for you and fingers crossed for tomorrow as well
:j:jPalema - and a great start for you as well, keep going now!
Hello to:
Everyone mentioning party food for the outings - I love cheese and pineapple on sticks (preferably stuck into a grapefruit covered in foil, now that’s definitely 70’s), sausages on sticks with a silverskin onion (yum), mini quiches, vol au vents (remember them?), warm Blue Nun (well, maybe not..). All sorted then:D
psychopathbabble - fingers crossed for today.. oh well, there’s always tomorrow.;)
LittleMissHappy - hope you have a lovely day at the zoo with the little’uns:T
rdchick - you’re doing well on the debt busting by the look of it - well done. Fingers crossed you won’t have too much longer feeling guilty for spending money on yourself.
elfen - is that “ratties” as in rats......(gulp...)
zpr1c3 - congratulations on finishing University, hope you’ve had lots of celebrating!:T
Kerri - hmmm... kippers at the ready, I can see they’ll be needed again this month (and you thought you’d escape them this month, didn’t you:rotfl:...). I’m watching for the creative lunch ideas and yes, you can freeze tinned sweetcorn, I’ve done it a few times. It’s fine for a pasta bake or with pasta just not quite as crunchy
Nargle - a mini-spendette day is much better than a major-spendette day so well done for that. Fingers crossed for an non-existent spend day tomorrow though:)
Decluttering - oh dear, we’ve all done that, I think. Never mind, there’s always tomorrow:D
Chloris - it’s early days yet, loads of potential NSDs left but well done for being organised with the food shopping, that’s the way to grab NSDs:T
Keiss - same here with the food shop, we can be silly twits together.. Well done for the money-making today:T
batgirl21 - never mind, there are loads more potential NSDs in June, you can do it!!:D
No NSD for me today. Like Keiss, food shopping called, hoping for my first tomorrow.
‘night everyone
