Pinched from Buffy's diary
Reasons to lose weight
You won't get heart disease or diabetes in your 40's
You won't die before your mum
You will be healthier
Healthy people are more confident
Confident people get more breaks in life
You will be slimmer more toned to go with the confidence
This will help you get your next better paying job
The better body, and more confidence will get you the man of your dreams and the house you want.
Your skin will be better because you won't be eating crap any more
You will be able to buy a pair of skinny size 12 or 10 or whatever jeans that you have wanted a la Hypno....
Do you need any more?:DAgree with loads of things that Buffy has said, but not about the man and house bit. Losing weight wont get you that if you dont do other stuff too and expecting losing half a stone to make your life perfect is just setting yourself up for misery! Sorry Buffy, just being honest!
I didn't say it, it was another poster on my diary, I don't think she entirely meant it like that either, it is logical for most women that weight loss would make them feel more confident and that would make them more attractive. Makes sense to me.Nevertheless she persisted.0 -

I agree, if you feel confident you are more likely to just go for it, then good stuff starts to fall into place! Not feeling confident because you feel fat really can have a knock on effect in others areas - that's what I took Chev to mean :ASometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -

I get that totally Buffy, just saying that it wont make everyting wonderful ON ITS OWN, without any other effort on your part. I think sometimes we women put too much on our weight and think 'If only I was thinner, I'd have XYZ' when in reality....they'd just be thinner! Obviously I get the bit about confidence helping in other areas and if I need to do something about my weight then I do so that I feel body confident when Im getting naked tbh. Sorry if TMI but thats important to me and so needs dealing with at times.'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Fine, maybe we need to agree to disagree on this one. Just saying to Shoesy not to get too focused on it as it's just one aspect of a lovely life is all. X'The road to a friends house is never long'0

Aww Shoesy,
that's rubbish about the car. Do hope you got details of actual car , make & reg etc ?
Had a fab afternoon at the gallery. It was a 60's pop culture thing with loads of original Biba & Mary Quant outfits & shoes.
There was also a collection of photos of Paul Weller which were awesome & for sale ... but not on my budget sadly. I was a mad fan of his throughout my teens so I loved it.
Just watching Bridewars now & it's very funny
Hope the car is easily sorted

Gallery sounds fab
Car is not a disaster - just so annoying! Such a cliche - but really tiny woman in a massive people carrier - and she actually said 'I can't see out of the back properly'!
Went for a sunbed today - brown people look thinner don't they :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
