Could you wear it with black tights?
Tried that but still doesn't look right - I don't really do short! Have given it to my neice, hardly seemed worth sending it back (lazy I know:o), and she's chuffed so good deed doneSometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Met a friend for a drink and a catch up after work, which was fab. She mentioned that her finances weren't great, and I'd always thought her and hubby were well off! Makes you realise that more people than you might think have money worries, I think there is a lot of 'fur coat and no knickers' out there when you view people's lifestyles from the outside
Have a half day to today, done an airport pick up (brownie points!), collected my prescription and am now doing not much before I have to leave for work at 12
Feeling really bloated the last couple of days, sure I've put weight back on! Definately need to do some exercise tonight! It looks like a power plate type place is going to open up nearby so I will keep an eye out for opening offers - it's something I've wanted to try for a while. I used to be a fan of the old 'toning tables' years ago but you don't seem to see them anymore!Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Ladies - I need your help with a fashion dilema (will re-post on the clothes challenge too)
I have enough points from work promotion to claim about £170 in vouchers, you can choose from most high street stores. The dilema is I have a huge and long time hankering for a DKNY handbag @ £240. However, I will also need new boots for winter, I fancy a biker jacket and a faux fur jacket - and probably loads more stuff as the AW ranges come out
Do I go for the bag whilst I have the chance or do I spend the £170 on some of the other things on my list?Sometimes it's hard to walk in a single woman's shoes - that's why we need really special ones!Total debt @ Oct 2008: £29,226.42 Credit Card- £[STRIKE]7493.56[/STRIKE] - £7243.56Weightloss : 0/34lbs0 -
Oh can I join you please? The title of your diary really appealed to me! Love SATC & shoes & clothes! Also need to have a good tidy up & lose a good half a stone! Even at my lowest moment (when I had to get a lodger in) money wise I still couldn't bear to sell any of my clothes or shoes or boots! I was living on beans on toast (good for the diet) but going out in Seven jeans, with matching Russel & Bromley boots & handbag! LOL ridiculous!
Actually my lowest moment was not being able to afford to get a pair of £250 boots re-healed! Mad!i wish my bank account could keep up with my Rockstar Lifestle! :cool:0 -
Shoe Gal - I'm really loving the links to your new clothes & shoes! It's great! Just hope I don't get distracted in to doing some shopping myself! I'm trying sooo hard to get debt free!i wish my bank account could keep up with my Rockstar Lifestle! :cool:0

The bag maybe because it's an investment purchase. But depends where you want to buy the boots from too? Are we talking Primark prices or Russel & Bromley? Maybe you could get the winter clothes at reduced prices if you wait a bit (recession/desperation sales constantly on everywhere)Total debt 11/1/2011 €5350.65Total debt 12/12/12 €3222.31CrazyClothesChallenge 2013 #006 €34.08/€5000

Mags - as we both know, you cannot walk in Primark shoes/boots :rotfl::rotfl: Maybe not R&B, but River Island, Top Shop? Would probably be the sensible option, although my birthday is in October so that's an option too, but I really hanker after the bag but my days of paying over £200 in real money for a bag are sadly gone. That's how I own a Mulberry - actually maybe I should use the Mulberry for a while before I make my mind up about the DKNY!
Before you all shout at me - it's over 10 years old and I've used it every Winter

A biker Jacket is a good buy I think, They don't really date and look good casual during the day or dressed up for evening!
I'e got a John Richmond one (Designers @ Debenhams) it's beautiful soft leather, it's years old now but still a firm favourite!i wish my bank account could keep up with my Rockstar Lifestle! :cool:0 -
I'm not sure about Topshop shoes, have never owned any but not convinced they would be comfortable and they aren't cheap. Too many clothes in Topshop look like they came from Primark.
How about a look in TK Maxx. They often have excellent stylish leather boots for reasonable prices.
@rockstar so glad you've found usDo you have a diary?

I think you should go for the bag, lifes too short and I bet you'll use it loads and maybe you can get more vouchers for the jacket and boots. I think you can especially if you are getting more through Nectar points!
Sometimes you have to take a chance on something you will love!0
