OP, look at it through your creditors eyes, you want your debt written off so that you can spend nearly a quarter of your income on your pets.

I have two large dogs. I was allowed 200 for a single person but this includes food cleaning stuff and helps with the dogs too,
I just think you really need to cut down on your pet costs as you will just not manage on your sao.
I understand what you say about the dog walker, but I really dont think the or would allow it anyway. there are other things you can put down ie medical, dry claning etc but you are still spending to much Sorry

Yes... They were not worried when they put my interest from 12.9% to 36% though.....forcing me to default on payments.

That is just life. I understand what you are saying, I wish I was able to pay my debts but I am not able to so ned to find a way to have some kind of life really. Not my first choice but have to play with the cards that I was dealt and right now do not have any other choice

I had dog walker cost down on SOA while on DMP with CCCS a while ago and it was accepted as well as the pet food/litter and insurance. My cigarettes were also included and accepted.

So is it that much different in SOA for BR than SOA for DMP?

That is what I am trying to find.

Thanks a lot for all the contributions - need that brain storming very much, really appreciated.

Dont think the dog walker will be allowed for br, not 100% sure but maybe someone else will know. It may depend on the or as they are all differant. Dont think you will be allowed cigs either.
I was allowed dentist, haircuts, opticians, etc but only a small amount ie 10 hair 7 prescriptions 10 opticians but these are are nec for me. A dmp is a lot differant to br. I think you need to speak to cab or cccs etc for advice as you need to really be sure you understand br before you go through wth it.
I know you say you have had your head in the sand and I think a lot of us understand that feeling, but to be honest I think you still have your head in the sand about your pet costs. Im sorry to be harsh but you will not manage as you are now. you will have to cut down on the costs of them to be able to cope.

So is it that much different in SOA for BR than SOA for DMP? Fraid so...smoking out, luxury items wont be allowed (such as the dog walker) high levels of spending WILL be questioned and you will have to proivide proof of expenditure

That is what I am trying to find.

    just a few thoughts

The OR has to draw a line somewhere and i think that it will be at considerably less than £365pm for pet related costs. I'm sorry OP but whilst you may have once been able to afford this your circumstances are now at a point where you are unable to

Thanks a lot for that... INteresting bit here:
Travelling to and from work and other essential journeys (public transport) 31.7.125 £11 £25 £23 £55 £53

Blue is a single person so... £25

I live in London zone 3, my new job is in Zone 1 - monthly travelcard is £123.70 so VERY much much than the allowed £25...

    ...........................

Do not understand that though - under the heading
Other possible essential expenses - See Technical Manual Technical Manual

Not colour coded so no idea what figure would apply to a single person?

Thanks a million for that though

If you can prove the costs they may allow but nothings set in stone as each case is different & again depends on the receiver dealing with it

but I do have to agree with DI with regards to your other expenses
