I got a nice reply from my boss to the email I sent....she said she understands why i have had to leave etc and that I have a lot on my hands with DS and his problems and wishes me luck in the future. Afternoon all

Just driven back from Chester, good journey until I hit Glasgow! Went to visit family there and in N Wales and had a thoroughly good time being spoilt by the older relatives, they think it's really brave of me to drive on my own all that way!!! Just waiting for DD to get in from work, she has been here on her own while I was away so need to catch up on the gossip!

Not much OS here, just put the washing on but DD seems to have done some and put it on the racks, just need to hoover round. Going out later to cheer up a friend who is starting all over again - her H has been having an affair so she threw him out - good for her. It's her birthday today and also her wedding anniversay so a few of us are taking her to a bar where one of her favourite bands are playing. Could do without it really as I have a really sore back.

Starting my training tomorrow for the new job, no bank holiday for me!! Take care. XX

Thank you..I spend most of my time doing comps, got a bit distracted by Facebook of late but it's wasted time when I could be doing lots more. Just mid making bread with kids..and trying to work out what to do with a big bag of carrots and some potatoes...soup first!

    Afternoon all

    Still wet and miserable here.

I have been busy today - sorted out my recipes (needed filing), made some diet-friendly flapjacks, made celery soup with a wilted celery, got some fresh stuff from Lidl (including the world's biggest pineapple for 99p!). WM been on, and even used my TD to dry it off partially. DW on now. Haven't got round to sorting stuff for Ebay though, will do that tomorrow.

Also got to skype with a dear friend who is travelling in Oz at the moment which was great :D

Does anyone know if you can freeze flapjacks? Made with oats/honey/apricot/banana. Although they are SW friendly, they won't be if I scoff the lot :rotfl:.

Feeling more positive re OS stuff. I have (with help) made the basis for a trifle to use up the pulverised raspberries that came yesterday on my Tesc0 shop (for which I got a refund). I have made 5 portions of onion gravy to have with sausages, mash and home grown cabbage tomorrow. I will freeze some for future meals.

I popped into see Mooloo who has been creating very clever patchwork with old ties and very effective it is too. DD and DS3 have been sorting their rooms and Im very pleased with the finished results :T:T:T

I enjoyed my Bolognese sauce with pesto mash. Very nice as an alternative to pasta.

Really pleased that you have sorted out the notice now and that you have closure NPM. I really hope that this is the start of better things to come x
I must not fear. Fear is the mind-killer.
Fear is the little-death that brings total obliteration.
I will face my fear. I will permit it to pass over and through me. When it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
When the fear has gone there will be nothing. Only I will remain.

    Hi all

Tried to post on here earlier and we had a massive powercut that lasted for 5 hours. Had a very OS night yesterday, so busy talking to my friend sitting in her kitchen that we forget to go out. So all I spent out was for my taxi and a bottle of vodka:D.

Got Ds's best mate here at the mo. Have made chocolate cake and scones that went wrong as I put too much milk in them. Wasn't paying attention when I put the milk in. Still cooked them though and they taste fine, they're just square and flat. DS has heated up hotdogs for him and his mate.

    NURSEBOOBY welcome
BITSY good news about your kitty

Big hugs to anyone who needs one. Have a good evening all

Just catching up with events on the Daily...

Bitsy so pleased that Daisy is home.:T I'll keep the healing vibes coming.

NPM I can identify with your relief; I was the same when I was finally granted medical retirement; I'd been on sick leave for 2 years, and simply never went back. Enjoy the start of your new life.;)

Lottie the Dotty Dog is sleeping on the sofa; she's being collected at 08:30 tomorrow morning to go home, I think she's enjoyed her weekend with us, though.:D
If your dog thinks you're the best, don't seek a second opinion.;)
