Got £200 part exchange for my old car.
    Deposit paid with MasterCard
    Balance part paid with Mastercard
Balance rest paid with Visa card

Extended warranty paid with Visa card

    thanks

If any of the cards are credit cards, then you have section seventy-five of the Consumer Credit Act to fall back on. Contact your card provider and discuss it with them. They have a joint responsibility with the retailer, so if the retailer no longer exists, your claim is with your card provider.

Many debit card providers also offer a "charge-back" scheme and this may be helpful to you.
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

Thank you for that. I will contact the card providers.
  • Thanks everyone for all the posts!! Had a letter through from the liquidators and the case handler is extremely helpful - only too happy to answer any questions I had - if anyone else has had this letter I recommend ringing them - they have told me to claim the servicing back with a copy of the invoice for the amount I had to pay for my most recent service with a different company £145!!! but it will take 2-3 years for the claim to go through - but worth doing if it means we get some pennies at the end of it :)
Became a first time buyer quite unexpectedly in June 2013!! :j
