So if I setup new SO in my LloydsTSB account, they need to have "operated" at least once before I transfer the account?
but i have 13 weeks to tranfer to SO across to Santander?
So I can set up my new SO with Lloyds, make sure they are active (i.e. atleast one payment made). Meanwhile open the Santander account, then transfer across the SO's within 13 weeks once they are "active".
Plus of course fund with £1000/month.
Or did I misunderstand?
Don't want to miss the topcashback which ends in 4 days
Can anyone tell me how Santander work out their interest, please? I never seem to be able to agree with the interest paid. For example, on my second Preferred current account, my latest interest paid is £7.93 net. The account was opened and credited with £2,500 on 3 October. Interest was paid on 4 November, but I can't make out how they get £7.93 as it doesn't work out at any number of days, ie @ 4.89% monthly on 29 days it should be £7.77, or 30 days it should be £8.04. I can't even work out the number of days for which the interest is calculated.
