Santander, how many current accounts?

I tried it, and if you're altering the amount by a big leap then it'll still go via snail payments...
When you say a big leap, do you know what sort of big leap? I've just changed a £5 standing order (that has only gone once so far) to a £1,000 (to transfer the £1K back to the bank it'll be sent from for the £1K funding terms). Do you think that'll go by FP?0 -

I started with either £1 or £10, I forget. When I switched it to £300 it didn't go by FP. This was about 3 months ago...Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -

I started the S/O with £1 and amended it to £1001 which went via FP.0 -
Given this is Santander we're talking about; I'd suggest its hit and miss.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0

I've had a Santander current account for around 12 months now and received cash back from Quidco when I originally opened this account, I was thinking of opening another account with Santander via Quidco or TCB to receive cash back a second time around. Will I need to close my other account first or can i leave it open and running and has any one else received 2 lots of cash back on Santander accounts.
All help welcomed0 -

Your account needs to have been closed 3 months or longer to qualify.Never argue with stupid people, they will drag you down to their level and then beat you with experience.- Mark TwainArguing with idiots is like playing chess with a pigeon: no matter how good you are at chess, its just going to knock over the pieces and strut around like its victorious.0 -

Your account doesn't need to be closed to benefit from TopCashBack cashback (£55), you're allowed 2 Preferred Current Accounts, but if you wanted to benefit from the £100 Santander switching cashback you would have to not held an account with Santander or its associate companies for 3 months.0 -
well regarding the transferring of money btwn 2 santander ac's to get the £100, thats what we have been doing so I can get a personal account and we also have joint account, latter opened first money paid from husbands HSBC into my account I transfer it to the joint (as I don't work so don't have income required for decent account!)..we just got paid the £100 in this week having opened the account on 1st July...i don't qualify for the £100 i assume already being a customer albeit in joint account....silly I should have opened a first direct account using referral from husband who is just opening new FD so would both qualify for bonus payment....hum should do this the more I think about it, seems silly as no incentive for us to have ac's with same bank...Zoe
