How much do you pay for broadband?

My initial deal was £7.50 then it went up to £14.08 and is now £17!

I am paying £7.05 as I threatened to leave!

If you can get a cash back deal this always helps keep the costs down.

But Plusnet Value is not available for £6.99 unless on a Market 3 exchange.

So just to be clear - you can get BT Basic AND have broadband from any ISP of your choice?

Can you have BT vision with BT basic too?

If you have BT vision do you have to have your bb from BT or could you have BT Basic, O2 bb and BT vision?

No, BT Vision requires you to have BT Broadband-and you'l need a minimum line speed of about 2MBps to make the on-demand side of it work.
You are aware that BTV is little more than Freeview with some on-demand content?

Hmmm been doing a bit more research and I've seen old posts from when the plan first came out saying that if you have a mobile then you don't qualify. Is this still the case?

Nothing to do with owning a mobile whatsoever...and if it did, how would BT know?

I recently got rid of my landline & landline broadband & now do the following :

    1) use a PAYG mobile for all my incoming calls

    2) each month I buy one of these

    http://threestore.three.co.uk/payg/dealsummary.aspx?offercode=DSL15PP283

via topcashback giving £12 cashback i.e.

    http://www.topcashback.co.uk/3_mobile

(so cost is £3 per month after cashback)

    3) I put the SIM purchased in a 3 dongle giving me unlimited internet access & put it in a 3G phone giving me 300 minutes of calls each month

So Ive gone from paying £20 (i.e. primus saver & plusnet extra) to £3 per month

So far have not been disconnected although it is a possibilty since 3 know the sim is being used in a dongle & not a phone - however given you use a new SIM every month Im pretty sure the risk of disconnection is minimal

wish I'd discovered this little trick sooner !
