Busy day today...Loulou2010...lol!...out of interest how old is your son? my DD was dry (by herself very little input from me) by age of 2, DS is 22 months and all my friends are telling me not to start potty training until he is 3..which seems incredibly late or am I just out of date (we have 91/2 year gap between our two babies)
hectic day today, off to town so annoying my abbey card expired in march and i still have not had a replacement despite going into branch and ordering twice! so that's £7 bus fare ggggrrrrrr0 -
Good Morning everyone and yet another bank holiday.Weather is a bit on the cool side but I don't mind that as I have a busy day ahead .First job is to give the bathroom a quick spuce up and then I am going to do a bit of baking I am trying to use as much as possible from my stores at the moment rather than shopping so I know I have a lemon in the top shelf og the fridge that has to be used so I am going to see if its not too dry (might give it a blast for a few seconds in the microwave) and will use it to make a lemon drizzle cake If there's not enough I can always grate up some orange peel from the fruit bowl and mix that in with the lemon peel.I have my friend coming to lunch on Tuesday so I am going to sort out stuff for then from my stocks rather than go out buying something.I know I have a few chicken breasts in the freezer so I will do something with them, possibly a chicken and bacon pasta dish as I have all the ingrediants plus stack of pasta in the cupboard.I will alsoo be making some small cakes for my DGS as tha cake tin needs filling and they are on holiday for half term this week.I will also make some 'twinks' as they go down very well.So its going to be a bake up day today and maybe by this afternoon I will be able to put my feet up and do some knitting.
my lymphodema nurse was great and we have sorted out a new sleeve on order which should arrive within the next week or so.In September she said she will try using a pump to reduce the swelling daily for a week to see what effect it has.
No washing or iroing to do today as I seem to have caught up with it all.I was going to have sausage and mash for dinner tonight but have decided to try and get my 'sardine mountain' down a bit so I will have a sardine based meal every week to shift it (I have around 12 tins of the stuff in store )Hope everyone has a brilliant week-end what ever you are doing
Take care all

he is 2 (26months). he has been using his potty since october-ish last year. i cant remember when he first started wearing pants, arouns his birthday sometime (march) he has pretty much decided himself that he was going to wear pants. i think people are doing later these days! there are a few in ds' room at nursery that are just turning 3 and still in nappies. just do it when you think your ds is ready"I have learnt that even when I have pains, I don't have to be one""You may not control all the events that happen to you, but you can decide not to be reduced by them.”Maya Angelou0 -
Morning all
Miserable day here
wet and windy
My mum's art exhibition was great yesterday
there's a small pic on FB if anyone wants to see her heads!
Today me and my neighbour are viewing a few properties, bit early but there was an open viewing on one of the townhouses today so we went there at 10am. It was ok, but the rooms were small compared to the flats. We are going to view a penthouse flat in a bit too
. After that I'm off to meet the girls for lunch and wander round the shops.
I keep forgeting it's a bank holiday weekend. I think I'm going to spend Monday sorting out some stuff in my flat. I have loads I want to Ebay, and will have more by the time I move out so would rather shift it all now rather than move house then sort it!
OS wise - again not much. Need to do washing but it's too wet so will leave it til tomorrow I think. I fancying cooking something new tonight so will have a look through recipes to see what catches my eye.
Have a good day all

Waiting for windscreen peeps to come and fit new windscreen this morning, been waiting over a week, so don't fall for their adverts and catchy tune!!!
Then off to the shops, as apparently there's nothing to eat in this house! The joys of a weekend off!RIP Iain

Morning OSers,
Havent been around for about a week so theres lots to catch up on,lots of threads/posts to read through...This makes me happy :j
Cloudy and chilly today after brilliant sunshine yesterday but at least its not raining.
Washing is up to date for once, i just need to sort the ironing pile- i'll break it up over the next few evenings. Not much OS going on today, will hoover later and see if DD wants to make some Twinks when she comes home
This will also make me happy!!
Big food shop time is a week away so im using up bits and bobs, mainly freezer meals.Defrosting a couple of portions of cottage pie for this evening and there are parsnips in the fridge that look a little sorry for themselves so they'll be roasted with some carrots.
Will need to sit and make up a strict meal plan!
Right,another cuppa and a lurk.
Hugs to all xEmergency Savings #73 = £1,500/£2,000

Morning All,
Not been about much as am having real trouble with my hands & elbows
which is a bit of a b*gger to say the least as it has cut down drastically my ability to type, knit, cook & garden, just as well the new kitty has arrived & needs lots of cuddles & grooming to help her settle in:). DS has officially left school although he has two morre exams next month, & I have to say I am very proud of him as it was always doubtful that he would be there long enough to leave of his own accord
All credit to the staff that dedicated so much time to him.:A
Big ((hugs)) to those of you going through difficult times, congrats to Bramble on her recognition in her new job, hi5's to all with accomplishments & spoons for those like me that don't seem to have enough.
