Clamper Gets Himself ARRESTED

Excel Parking, MET Parking, Combined Parking Solutions, VP Parking Solutions, ANPR PC Ltd, & Roxburghe Debt Collectors. What do they all have in common?
They are all or have been suspended from accessing the DVLA database for gross misconduct!
Do you really need to ask what kind of people run parking companies?0 -
I mean, if the parking company apply to the DVLA for the details relating to the unmarked car they will not get them as the details will come back "BLOCKED- Contact XYZ"It must be accepted as a principle that the rifle cannot replace the speed of the horse, the magnetism of the charge and the terror of cold steel.

I mean, if the parking company apply to the DVLA for the details relating to the unmarked car they will not get them as the details will come back "BLOCKED- Contact XYZ"My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
That is how it would be displayed within the DVLA/PNC. External "viewers" are simply directed to a DVLA contact.
I do not know what a private company would see, but in my experience as soon as they spin a royalty protection vehicle the ops room at New Scotland Yard would be notified...It must be accepted as a principle that the rifle cannot replace the speed of the horse, the magnetism of the charge and the terror of cold steel.

Exactly, plod cannot have it both ways, either it is CIVIL, in which case they should have paid up and claimed it back in small claims track, or when a member of the public is clamped by a man with a dodgy badge, they should act also. I think we know the answer to that one don't we
It is not a CIVIL matter, the clamper was obstructing police officers in the execution of their duty, said clamper was hampering the police protection efforts. That is a criminal act. Same as failing to display an SIA licence when requested. It must be accepted as a principle that the rifle cannot replace the speed of the horse, the magnetism of the charge and the terror of cold steel.

They should just put the clamper in a room with Prince Philip for 30 minutes.
Then he might move onto a decent career!0 -
Slightly off topic, when I left the RAF in the mid 90's,I got a job as a security guard in a shopping complex.Due to an amount of thefts from cars, they had roving patrols around the site. One day the was a car parked outside M&S.I got a urgent message from the control to move the car on.The car was an unmarked armoured Vauxhall Omega, containing two RUC CP officers & a judge.
After a short chat with one of the officers, the center manager came over my radio, insisting I move the car on.When I informed him who was in the car,he still insisted they move as the car could contain a bomb!!
I gather the center manager later recieved a stern b****king from the center's owners after they were given a b****king from the RUC!0 -

Depends on how much you want to trust DVLA .".blocked" is kinda of a give away that it is something official..there are other better ways of protecting vehicles that the keeper wishes not to be disclosed.;)0 -

Royalty protection vehicles are just blocked, For other vehicles used for other purposes then there are other ways things are done, but I don't think that needs to be spoken about on an open forum. It must be accepted as a principle that the rifle cannot replace the speed of the horse, the magnetism of the charge and the terror of cold steel.

Agreed, although anyone with a modicum of intelligence could probably work it out for themselves.
In fact it's probably been on an episode of "Murphy's Law" lol0
