I have an interview lined up for Wednesday, and am meeting another agency this afternoon.. It's starting to move but it's still too slow for my taste
I wish I could find something in contracting but my skills/experience seem to be too limited for them..
Am very happy for you! Enjoy the celebrations!
Cheers!
Good luck with your interview on Wednesday!0 -

Thanks!
Have you been informed that I will get paid every 4 weeks rather than every month. Never been paid this way before, this will be interesting, although they have said that one month a year you get paid twice! Now I do like the sound of that!!0 -
The other half got paid yesterday. Her work had her DOB wrong and as she turned 21 in Feb they have back dated her pay (She is on minimum wage). Worked out to be an extra £1000 in backpay!!!0

Thought I would come along and update my diary. Started my new job and have been so busy. Unable to use the internet at work so can't be on here all day like I used to!!
Things have changed a bit. Due to the cost of petrol I have bought a new diesel car which I'm hoping will be actually cheaper than the £300 petrol I spent in the first month!
My monthly spending hasn't settled down yet but I'm hoping I can live off a 4 week pay and use my 13th payment as an over payment on the mortgage.
The only issue with that is we have booked our wedding day!! 08/08/2014 so plenty of time to save up (although I'm hoping our families will pay the bill for this!) We are going on holiday in October, not booked yet but we know the hotel we are staying at. And I have a mates stag do to Barcelona in September. Will be back with an update when I've actually overpaid something!!0 -
Just made my first ever overpayment!!!!
£2000 paid in today.0 -
It's been a while since I've been on here!
The fixed period of the mortgage has expired now, so we have moved onto 3.99%.
Trying to sort out a remortgage at the moment that will help us to start overpaying the mortgage on a regular basis!0 -
Looks like we will be getting a remortgage through Tesco Bank. Rate is going to drop to 2.69 for a two year deal. Should be able to start making some really decent overpayments now.0
-
That's a great change in interest rate! Good news

Well it's taken a while, think it is due to the solictors rather than Tesco but the mortgage transfers on Monday. Remortgage will knock two years off the term! Still clinging to my 10 year plan of paying the mortgage off!!0
