    An Update!

I have managed to sort out a few things. The Gas and Electric was with npower. Paying then £70 (£40 Gas, £30 electric) a month until I found out how much we are using the look for the best rates and fix for a year or so.
Spoke to United Utilities and they said that I should be paying £39.73 a month for water!! Will check this as I was hoping to pay about £25 a month.

Also spoke to the council to setup a direct debit. This has then meant that the first payment doesn't come out till the 2nd August!! (Nice!)

Think that's it at the moment!!

Just been informed that we are getting £20.30 a week for Child Benefits!
  • Started to go through the house looking at stuff we can put on ebay. The other half goes back to work on Monday.
Hoping to make our first over payment on the mortgage next month.
  • Our boiler has decided to pack up now! What great timing! Was hoping to start making overpayments soon but might have to wait now.
Got British Gas coming out today to fix it hopefully! Had to pay £99 and then £20 a month to cover everything for 12 months. The plumber we had out said it would cost about £1600 for him to fix it and pointed me towards British Gas, and he didn't charge me anything!
  • British Gas came yesterday, replaced the pump that was broken and the heating is working. But said for us to be covered by the ongoing £20 a month service we would need to replace certain things costing about £570!!

Not sure what's going to happen now! He said if it was his house he would use the money to buy a new boiler.
