    Just tried to make my first overpayment of £60, but was told that the mortgage we have, that the payment needs to be at least £500 not to incur a 5% charge!!

    For my mortgage, I just set up the direct debit to include the overpayment, but just means you have to pay this over every month :eek: only doing £21 at the moment

    Its with Leeds BS, they were only too happy for me to overpay!

    Ours is with the Post Office/Bank Of Ireland! Think I'll have to ring them and discuss what options are available to us!

    I've just done a check on how much Gas and Electric we have used this month.
    Does 200 cubic metres of Gas and 330 kWh of Electric sound right for one month?

    Hi - our gas this month has been 246 and elec 430! So yours is less than mine, however, as I'm on mat leave I'm at home all day most days.

    This is our first winter so I'm not sure what it should be. We don't get our next bill till April and I don't want any nasty surprises!
    The other half went back to work last week so maybe it will come down now! Let's hope so!!
