Had my cat PTS :(

Hi I recently (6weeks ago) had to have my beloved cat pts. She was young only just over a year but had been ill for about 6 months with a neurological problem when she suddenly got worse and I knew it was time. I went through the same things as you feeling guilty and wondering what if ....but at the end I know in my heart I had done everything I could for her and she knew she was loved as your Candy would have. I know you weren't there at the end, but I can say from being with my little one that it is very quick, a few seconds and our vet continued to talk to her and stroke her long after she had gone. I cried for days and weeks and even now it is incredably painful but I can remember the happy times now. We collected her ashes last week and have created a little memorial garden for her. She will always be loved and missed but sometimes we have to make the hardest decision for the best of reasons xx
