barginbird - i know where you are :j

    morning all

been busy. i slept for just over 8 hours :j so full of energy today. i have cleaned the kitchen, dishwasher is on, washing and td have been on and finished. hoovered. slept kitchen floor just need to mop.

ds has woken with a slightly swollen and bruised eye. he obviously had a fight of some sort in his sleep. he has a horrible tickly cough too. his eyes and nose are streaming. he's happy in himself but has high temp. so he is home today.

the mil and hubbys cousin are having him this afternoon as i have an appointment. should find out what is happening with my meds. i'm off all but one and that needs to be reduced a bit further so i am told. stupid thing is i think its the meds that made thing 100% times worse. i am much happier and settled since they have been out of my system.

anyway they are collecting him before lunch. i have said he will have a packed lunch and thats what he has to eat :o sounds harsh but the mil will just take him to maccyd's and give him sweets. he doesnt like macd's and his tummy cant handle it either. i dont mind him having sweets but i know she will just go overboard. have told hubbys cousin as she is sensible, that he can have some just dont want to have to deal with his uspet tummy!!

    dinner tonight is fajitas :D

    have a good day all

    Morning to all.

Silver Hope your first day back goes ok. Chin up.

Bramble1 So glad you got paid. Enjoy shopping for food!

More of the same ChezRosie today. Sent DD1 off to school as she was fine apart from a nasty cough. Told her she would have to study if she stayed home, rather than playing on computer and watching tv all day. That was enough to send her off!

Little one off to nursery later and I think I will give the lottie a miss today. Have done as much digging as I feel like doing this week, and we are forecast to get very heavy showers today which we are very grateful for.
Would love to go to town for a couple of bits, but the anti-fascists and the EDL are very kindly going to hold demos in our town again today:mad: so I have to give it a miss. There are some of the EDL nasties who live and hang around where I have to walk to nursery, so I will have to keep my head down and hope they are already in the pub when I go out!

On the positive side.... I took advice on the baking questions thread and bought some proper strong bread flour, and made perfect, light wholemeal loaf and rolls yesterday. Not a doughy bit in sight!!!:T
And we picked our first 4 strawberries and ate them yesterday... 1 each, savoured very slowly. Yum Yum:)

I think I just had a cuckoo chick on my bird feeder being fed by a starling!!!!:j:j:j:j:j:j

I may be wrong, but it was definitely a starling and it was feeding a larger, paler bird which was acting like a chick. Sat there for ages with it's beak open while the starling was shovelling food into it. Wow. You cannot believe how excited I am. Just wish I could have got a video of it!!

Didnt get on yesterday as DS had huge meltdown at dentists in the morning, 10 min check up appointment and ended up there 2 and a half hours:eek:. Due solely to his meltdown. One of the consultants I worked with was in the waiting room:o. DS was making all sorts of noises and then started kicking tables over and throwing magazines everywhere and he whacked my arm with a chair which bloomin hurt:(. It is black and blue today. It then took me 40 mins to do the 5 min walk from dentists to school. Several times I just wanted to sit on the road and cry as I just didnt know how I was going to move him. He lies down and he is too big to pick up like I used to do.
Was so stressed that I felt out of sorts all day and had a migraine last night. I think he is also stressed at last day of school and hols next week:o
Doing a tidy today and some ironing. HM chicken pie for DS later, and am making some fresh tomato sauce for pasta for DH and I as I just got some big vine tomatoes YS at co op very cheaply.
Still feel exhausted and not really myself yet, forced myself to meet a friend for lunch yesterday but didnt feel like it and felt like I wasnt really there.
Not heard from work but assume they have my notice;)
EMSF sorry about your MIL xx
Silvermaid take it easy at work today....be gentle with yourself xx
    bitsy how is daisycat??

NPM I hope the holidays go okay for you and Noah. It must be getting so much harder now that he is getting bigger. Hope the arm heals soon. It puts all my worries into perspective.

ESMF So sorry to hear about your MIL. Hope your DH manages to get home ok and that you both get through this difficult time.

    Morning all

Late on here today. Slept like a log last night which was really needed. DS had pancakes for breakfast and I've got a couple in the fridge with lemon and sugar that I will take to work tonight.

Have been dashing around flylady style this morning and tackling 15 minute jobs and generally having a good tidy up. Why does all the paperwork end up on the dining room table?

Off to the gym in a mo. Then a good look at my finances and spending. Dinner tonight is leftover beef stew from the freezer, then DS is going to his Dad's for 2 nights as I've got work.

ESMF sorry to hear your sad news, hugs.
NPM hugs to you take it easy and look after yourself today

    Have a good day all

    Morning my lovelies :D

Raining and 'orrible here BUT ground is hard as rock and I need to do some weeding so hope the rain softening stuff a bit so perhaps the weekend I can get the hoe out ;)

got a headache this morning - I really ought to learn by now that I need to drink more fluids after tap class :o Still I got up and did half an hour on the Wii fit this morning, not quite Shred but I couldn't face that with a muzzy head this morning :o

Mindee at childrens farm today so need to pick her up from there later so it's just me and DD today. So no gardening today so will put vac round. Again. And clean the bathroom and might start making my messenger bag. This will be my first time sewing without my mum lurking and holding my hand but I need to break this lack of confidence, if I am ever going to learn I need to make mistakes and have a go on my own :o

Tea tonight will be creamy sausage pasta and peppers.

esmf - Hugs for you honey xxx and for your H xxx I hope your MIL is now at peace and that you as a family can find some small comfort in that xxx

Silver - Hugs for you too xx nice to see you posting and if you get upset at work don't sweat it, it's been a week so everyone will understand xx

NPM - Hugs for you xx I feel for Noah, the world must be so terribly confusing and distressing for the wee lad and it's so hard for you too. Put some arnica on that arm (as long as the skin isn't broken) and I hope next week goes as smoothly as possible for you xxx

rosie - EDL are a bunch of signcensor.gif so hope they don't cause too much trouble in your area xx

For those of you interested in a few different smilies here are the ones a few of us use http://www.hystersisters.com/vb2/misc.php?do=getsmilies&wysiwyg=0&forumid=4# If you can't copy and paste them shout and I'll give you the long way to get them to appear in your posts.

Catwatch: Parents went to see Daisy again. She still can't stand, not empyting her bowels but on the plus side she's now purring and my parents aren't sure if she can sight light and dark a bit. It's still a terrible emotional rollercoaster for them. Mum is speaking to the Vet this afternoon to see what he thinks regarding her recovery and I guess they will take it from there. Hopefully I have a lovely friend and MSE-er going to see her at the Vets on Saturday so she can do some healing.

Hugs and spoons all round. Have a great day OS or not.
