Hi, I just want to say that I have just been told that my DLA HR Mob and LR Care have both been stopped. This is after being told I would get it indefinatly in Feb this year. I am gutted. I am an Epileptic and I also suffer from another condition called IIH. The manager I spoke to said that they have admitted that I do have needs but that they are not quite bad enough for the DLA. I fail to see how this is the case when ny Epilepsy is non controlled and probably worse now than it ever was.
Also, just for the record I work as well, in a sit down job, my job is catered to my needs so that I am able to do it without posing a risk to myself or others. I am very worried about all of this, as I use my motobility car to get myself too and from work, unfortunatly there are no buses to my work and my mobility is really not great.
I am def going to appeal, whether it will make any difference is another matter but I have to give it a go, on the plus side Motobility allow you to keep the car for up to 6 months, so at least I know I can get to work for that length of time! Not sure what will happen after that as I have no spare money to purchase a car.
Ah well.0 -

Ah well.
I've noted a couple of comments in bold.
I do hope that you are not driving your mobility car and that someone else drives you to and from work - for a person with epilepsy to be able to drive, they should not have had a fit for at least two years, and need there doctor to confirm that the epilepsy is controlled.0
