There's a whole host of June weddings this weekend:
June 14th - caz2003uk
June 14th - goldenshilling
June 14th - yorkshirelaura
June 14th - sashybo
June 14th - krissymas
June 15th - ennui
June 17th - JanineB
Hope everything goes wonderfully.
Can't remember when you're flying out MrsC, so I hope your wedding goes without uninvited company and you have a wonderful time.
Its us the day after yours, the time is getting shorter at a rapid rate.0 -
Jax brought her wedding in at £3000 as did MrsD, I been extravagant recently but the final figure will be well under 2K. Weddings don't have to be expensive, particularly if you avoid the "Wedding Industry" and its often unjustified premiums.
Yeh you are telling me, my friends have got married and I have seen a couple of thing I liked for my wedding as I'm engaged myself but gosh the prices it's true what they say - if you mention wedding the price doubles! Eek I'm off to a discount store this sun for a dress fingers crossed0 -

We fly out on Monday, 17th. One day left at work, a day of pampering on Saturday (because I rarely do it so this is a good excuse!), a hectic day on Sunday and then we're off! Fell out with a representative of a well known Dutch airline last night who has been reported to their customer care so I am waiting on a response! I wasn't going to complain but I post a post on their FB page and they actually contacted me so that they could chase it up!
Well wait and see what they say to that......
Under a week to go now for me, no nearly the same for you. It's all come round rather fast hasn't it! I can't believe that it is nearly time, although we are still surprising people who don't know! Got a surprise myself tonight when someone we barely know came round ith a card with euros in it and told us to have a drink on them when we're away! Gobsmacked but very much appreciated!!!
The countdown is well and truly on!
Oh, and there will be no unwanted guests there....my friend has done the true friend thing and says she will knock her out if she tries to get in, and I quite believe that she would aswell! I wish all your weddings this weekend the very best of luck and hope the weather holds out for you all!
I'm feeling very strange.....although we married already (april 26th) tomorrow was meant to be our wedding day, everything was book planned and arranged for tomorrow until our first venue let us down so feeling very (I can't explain it!!) it's going to be a strange day as the 14th June has sentimental meaning to me aswell!:jEngaged 25/12/11 :j

Thanks, nuatha! Best of luck to everyone getting married this weekend. We're tomorrow and I can't quite believe we've reached this point already! Just discovered the CD player doesn't work so we're rushing around trying to replace that and get all the stuff to the hotel. Cheers everyone! :beer:0 -

Good on your friend (and hoping it doesn't come to that).
The only way their customer care will ever get better is if they know they've got it wrong. Had a lot of dealings with that particular airline's customer services recently, they do seem to try to rectify problems.
Had final meeting with venue this morning, complete with a personnel change as the person we had been dealing with has decided to book holidays then - was concerned because original bod is very detail orientated, new one is even better. Tidying up the last bits and bobs today and then spending from now till the wedding in the kitchen cooking.0 -

Thank you so much! We have had ups and downs, and ins and outs, and folk trying to cause nothing but trouble and drive a wedge between us, but the usual is that it only makes you stronger, like it has with us!
While it won't be the day we originally planned, it is another way that we wanted to do it and will still manage to incorporate some ice into it!!!
I'll be back with some pics when we get home!
3 sleeps til take off.......
Good luck everyone this weekend :-)No longer ...tobe! Married 20/06/13MFW 2021 #117 £5415.40/£6000MFW 2022 #77 £3740/£3000MFW 2023 #82 £0/£30000 -
Well, we did it! :j
Spent the whole day in a daze not really feeling like it was my wedding and 3 days later I still don't really feel like we're married. I'm so pleased we had it videoed so at least I will have evidence, haha! Does it feel surreal to anyone else?
Congratulations to the June brides and grooms who are now June newlyweds and good luck to those who have still to go!0 -

Congratulations.
I have 60 hours to go and it feels fairly surreal at the moment.0
