Anyone removed their bath and only put a shower in?

I put a few inches of drain pipe in the shower drain to raise the water level in the tray. The kids would splash around in the few inches of water and love it. Much safer than a bath and handy if you just want to wash your feet, but you might want to take the kids out first.0

If you want a shower cubicle - go ahead and fit one!
Consider how long you're likely to be at the property though, and consider whether or not you could just go for an ensuite shower room - you don't have to fit a toilet.
If you're likely to be there for several years and want to take the bath out, then fit a shower cubicle that will stand the test of time.
If you're likely to move after a year or so then you may not need an expensive shower cubicle.
When you come to sell, refit the bath with the shower over it and bring the bathroom up to date with the latest style as cheap as poss to maximise saleability.Behind every great man is a good womanBeside this ordinary man is a great woman£2 savings jar - now at £3.42:rotfl:0 -

Its a home, your home and do what works for you0

We had our bath ripped out 3 years ago in favour of a large shower. No regrets but can understand why a family would want a home with a bath. However, it wouldn't take much effort or cost to install a bath should the desire arise.0
