There is notices on the self at our tescos (chesterfield) saying that an incorrect price had been advertised (tescos leaflet came in local free paper) and the correct price is now shown, cant remember the "correct" price but is sure was not £2.99! so no chance of getting it for that price here.

Maybe not - but if you have already bought it under the impression that the advertised price was correct, then surely they are on a sticky wicket if they charge you twice the price you were expecting? I thought thats how we did so well back in the R&R days.

My impression of how the R + R worked was to do with SEL. Where the price said one thing and you where charged a higher price.

The SEL of this item would be correctly stating £6.99 and BOGOF.

But you are expecting to get it at cheaper price than the SEL because of flyer shoved through the door.

Don't really see how you can claim it is the same as the R & R.

    Yours

I bought some at my local store on Wednesday and when I got home the leaflet was there. Went in Thursday morning armed with my receipt and the leaflet and got ................ "oh yeh, we know about that. The manager has spoken to HQ, but he's told us to honour it for now".

I bought 4 tins from Tesco Hanley, the new big one.
I'm going back down there today to complain nicely.
I've never had a DTD before so wish me luck :)
    I was charged £6.99.

Sign up in our local saying sorry, mistake in leaflet. Actual price is £6.99 BOGOF - still overpriced as it's only £2.99 in Iceland at the moment!!!

I'm delighted that some people have also managed to get this at DTD ! I had to stand my ground over mine last week (the day after the Deal was supposed to start) - got there in the end though. I'm fed up with Tesco hiding behind the 'Its a mistake/printing error' excuse. If they get away with it , it won't belong before they use the same excuse for ANY misprice, even on the SELs.

    They haven't beaten us yet!
