This does work! They wriggled as hard as they could but were beached in the end and gave me DTD on 4 packs of 4 cans ie £2 profit to take them away.

It wasn't actually part of the newspaper - just one of the A4 two page leaflets that Tesco (and all the other supermarkets) produce. Sometimes they are slipped inside the papers and sometimes several different leaflets just get shoved through the letterbox on their own.

I've just been to tesco where they were selling at £6.99 BOGOF.
I paid for them then went to CS where the lad behind the counter was very apologetic. He made a phone call to someone who obviously knew DTD rule but he was so determined to get me them at £2.99 BOGOF that I let it go.It was also swayed by the full stock of TR I spotted whilst there,I didn't want to draw attention to myself incase I get my price checkers back when I shall go and fill my boots!!

Hi, I'm a bit out of the loop!! Wondered where everyone had gone!!!!! What's TR please....................:)

My local Tesco refused to honour it, even though I had my leaflet. He kept referring to small print saying offer could be withdrawn at anytime. I spent nearly half an hour arguing with manager. In the end, I asked for a refund and left.

Looking at the leaflet, i'm pretty sure the 'offer may be withdrawn at anytime' line refers to the double clubcard points. I'd call up customer complaints and try your luck with them.
It only takes a second to say thanks!

Which they are entitled to do. They can refuse to sell it to you.

No shop has to sell you anything at any price if they don't want to. Google invitation to treat.

So, they can advertize anything they like to gain advantage, like saying Tesco are cheaper then Asda, and when you ask for the offer to be honoured they can just tell you to poff? Is that right?
