My local Tesco refused to honour it, even though I had my leaflet. He kept referring to small print saying offer could be withdrawn at anytime. I spent nearly half an hour arguing with manager. In the end, I asked for a refund and left.
That refers to double points
Then below it states about the offers, nothing about being withdrawn at anytime.0 -
I had the same years ago .. aleaflet showing a product at a certain price and when I showed it to Tescos and HO they wouldnt honour it..
spent ages trying to get the product free... back in them days... but they wouldnt have any of it..0 -
Just rushed down to T because my son lives on tuna! The shelves had been emptied-only the tuna in oil remained. Pretty sure this was a misprint or they have pulled the offer.:(0

It does refer to the Clubcard points, but it also says further down 'prices correct at time of going to press' so they could use that statement to not let us have it £2.99. :mad:Looking at the leaflet, i'm pretty sure the 'offer may be withdrawn at anytime' line refers to the double clubcard points. I'd call up customer complaints and try your luck with them.0 -

How I managed to force their hand was by insisting that they could NOT invoke the 'while stocks last' clause as I was shoving my 4 packs under their noses (and pointing out that they had loads on the shelf!) so stocks clearly WERE lasting.
Also, they shouldn't be delivering the leaflet with the offer to households in their area if the were going to say they were not one of the 'selected stores only' - its misleading at best and a blatant attempt at hooking customers into their store on a false promise!ELITE 5:2

This leaflet was delivered to my house on 25 May. The validity date is 25 May - 5 June 'unless otherwise stated'. So far as the tuna is concerned, there is no earlier date printed so, the offer runs until 5 June. No manager in their right might can possibly argue that a deal promoted on 25 May is out of date on 26 May. B***** Tesco rubbish.ELITE 5:2

Which they are entitled to do. They can refuse to sell it to you.
No shop has to sell you anything at any price if they don't want to. Google invitation to treat.
Yours
Calley
Maybe not - but if you have already bought it under the impression that the advertised price was correct, then surely they are on a sticky wicket if they charge you twice the price you were expecting? I thought thats how we did so well back in the R&R days.ELITE 5:2

I've just got back from Tesco in Southampton, (Treborba Way). They declined to honour the offer on the basis that "they are not one of the 'selected stores' as stated in the 'small print'", that was coming from the Duty Manager.
When I rang Tesco customer services now (0800-505555) they said "no it's a misprint, there's nothing we are going to for you!"
So that's that!
I tried
Oh yeah, I forgot to mention: I did however add up the shopping so it came to just over £50 on the basis that I wasn't going to get the offer, so 6 packs of tuna would costs £21 and I spent £30 or so on my normal other shopping SO I GOT THE 5p OFF PETROL VOUCHER which is worth £2 to me and then afterward I got the £21 refunded for the tuna. So 5p off petrol voucher with a £30 spend, thanks Tesco.0 -
You should have asked where the selected stores are.0
