31 to b&Q - mainly dorset and up north, also haverhill

13 to wickes -I have a list of these but mainly south

30(?) to B&M. i imagine these are northern ones as that seems to be where B&M are

But the creditors will be trying to get as much money as they can from the company so they will only bring it in in phases just like woolworths did.

That's what the current owners tried, hence their current situation.

10% off Focus prices still puts it out of consideration, and way ahead of it's competition pricewise.

I'm really sorry for the staff but don't have any sympathy for the company.

They called the administrators in some time ago but have only just (in the last day or two) realised they can't sell the remaining stores as a going concern so are having to offload all of the stock and then lay off their employees. I read this morning that the sale would start today but that obviously contradicts other info in this thread so may well not be true. I would expect the discounts to increase as it gets closer to the final closure.

Just been in today and if you have am old peoples card, they can get 20% off today on everything. So i took my mum!!!!!

The staff said it was 20% off some bits, still way cheaper than homebase, 2.5l emulsion in matt or silk is 6.99 then discount off so real bargain imho.

The store near me has been told it will be a b&q, and they are keen to keep on the staff as the locals all know them, and they have a really good raport with them. I hope they all do, they are all really talkative and helpful.

Updated information here, with most of the remaining stores looking increasingly likely to be closed down, and the sale expected to last for around 6 weeks:

From what I have been told by a very wise and usually well informed friend.....
B&Q have bought all the focus stores in the towns where there is not already a B&Q. From what I can understand most of the branded stock was sold with them.
I have also been told that the final date is around the 25th July then focus will definalty be no more. Personally I going to hold out for a better reduction I may loose out on somethings but hopefully he gains will be bigger.
If any of this is proved wrong then I apologise, I will also let you know if I found out more.

    burgess hill bought by wickes!!!!

they sold the stores to B&Q, wickes and B&M then the management were loking at a buy out on the remainder. this fell apart a couple of days ago hence the rest of them looking like they will be closing completely (unless of course they can find another buyer). staff will lose their jobs unfortunately

B&Q are saying that staff can re-apply for jobs but they arent going to keep them on. wickes say they are keeping all staff on but i suspect this wont last long as traditionally wickes operate with far less staff in store than focus do
