    Are you absolutely certain that him asking you to move in isn't seen as a lifeline to get more cash coming into his household?

    That comment about "love should be the main thing no matter what" is ringing alarm-bells with me. Please tread very, very carefully.

    Absolutely correct. Love for your kids.

    I would not move in with this man. Wait until he clears all his debts and has a stable job. (And if he never does, then never move in with him.) There are a lot of kids involved here (on both sides) and they are way more important than the two of you.
