Trousers for kids with small waist, long legs

Hi
I know there has got to be others with the same problems.

Son is 11 and has a tiny waist, with long legs. There is nothing physically wrong with him, he's just going to be tall and slim like his dad and brother.
It doesnt matter how much they eat they don't put on an ounce of fat, I think it just jumps and lands on me with a thud!!!

At one point i got Calvin Klein jeans, who seem to do slim fit with long legs, they were a perfect fit :) but it was from their outlet and it doesnt stock the kids now and cant order in

Anyway, i do buy the Gap jeans with the adj waist, but because he is so slim they are all bunched up round the waist big time and look horrid.
As he gets older and taller jeans just look terrible.

Anyone ot the same problems and found a good brand that does small waists.

  • Next do adjustable waist jeans in normal sizes but also in a slim fit version ( I dont just mean skinny jeans) so you dont get the bunching up around the waist.
I also find the Blue Zoo range at Debenhams good.

DS is 11, very skinny, long legs. Asda do school trouser with adjustable tapes. Hes got age 12-13 for the length, but bunched right up for the waist. Hes also got several pairs of their jeans/combats/joggers, as they all have a wide knitted stretchy waistband. Hes got these because he struggles with buttons, but actually they are a really good fit for tall skinnies. They look really nice on him and stop him looking gangly or like he has clown feet :)

My son is 12 and has the same problem.Best place to buy them from is Next and also try some in Debenhams -Blue Zoo can be ok as can John Rocha and sometimes Red Herring
If women are birds and freedom is flight are trapped women Dodos?
  • M&S are OK, Next fit pretty well, but it is just one of things that whilst everyone is told that all children are fat nowdays, there are plenty who eat enough for a small army and still look like sticks - I have an 11 year old DD just like it. So much so, she wears adult skinny jeans (size 6 petite) because they have narrower waists and bottoms than the children's ones.

We discovered that M&S will order in men's trousers with smaller waist sizes (eg 28" waist, long leg) if you ask them. They don't normally keep these in stock. It might be asking in other shops whether they can order in trousers with smaller waist sizes than those on display.

I have this problem too with DS. Anyone found a cheaper alternative to Next to avoid the bunched up waist syndrome?

My son is exactly the same and found that the ASDA smart price £3 jeans have an adjustable waist and are very narrow

Fitted him perfectly and at a bargain price!
