    You can use something like WinDirStat to help track where the bulk of files are, to see if anything can be safely moved:

    Even something like Glary's Utilities has a disk usage analyser.

    See what your memory usage is like when you using the programs you mentioned.

    Laptops are quite often partitioned that way - don't ask me why. I've moved my music and video folders to the D drive on my laptop to free up some space on C. You can right click on them and select properties and then the location tab to do this and then let Windows move them over. You can do it with any of the folders in your user folder.

    I have a 5 year old PC with a Pentium 4 3.0G and it 526 RAM XPHomeSP3 32bit

    I tried all the cleaning tips I could find on these threads which made some improvement but I have just added 2.0G (£20) of RAM and it now runs like a dream 12 - 20% utilisation rather than 50 -90%:):):):):)

    Just wish I had done it sooner. Took longer to vacumn up around the PC than fit it....
