He should have thought of them before he did it.
I'd rather we didn't have our judiciary helping to cover up the sleazy nature of the likes of Goodwin under a somewhat stretched interpretation of their human rights.0 -

I don't in the case of Giggs, however with Sir Goodwin it is a different matter. This is a guy who's mismanagement of RBS has burdened us all with massive debts. I think it is only fair that we find out that this guy was repeatedly promoting his mistress while he oversaw the disaster he created for his company, shareholders and the country.
The fact that these people appear to be able to abuse the intent of laws such as the human rights bill in this way is a much bigger scandal than any of the individual cases.0 -
Perhaps if the newspapers only published information that really was in the public interest then these laws would not be needed.0

Because some of our kids look up to people like that and we want them to see the consequences of such behavior. The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Terry Pratchett

Perhaps we should make sure our kids look up to their parents than to strangers they see on TV.0 -
Why it is part of the learning process for many kids, if they are good examples it undoes some of the mistakes we parents make and if they prove to be bad ones then it shows there are consequences for bad decisions for everybody and anybody? The truth may be out there, but the lies are inside your head. Wardy, old chap. Let it go. I very much doubt that Goodwin was personally responsible refusing you your property loan in 2008.
No offence, but you strike me as having a nebulous grasp on reality.0 -
;43868646]So your idea is that there was nothing to hide he just did it out of his desire to help those hard up solicitors. Bless him.
I'm glad we have the benefit of your insight Thrugelmir, otherwise we'd have all assumed he was hiding the fact that he's a sleaze and not worthy of his title.
Maybe he is trying to protect his kids ( you must know what bullies can be like in the playground
) OK yes he could have protected them by having no human frailties ya de ya. It seems to me it is the kids who suffer most in things like this but nobody seems to give a toss, how many times have you heard the kids position put forward in all the holier-than-thou crap spouted on the interweb? 'Just think for a moment what a prospect that is. A single market without barriers visible or invisible giving you direct and unhindered access to the purchasing power of over 300 million of the worlds wealthiest and most prosperous people' Margaret Thatcher0
